Hard tray for carrying socket connectors
Abstract
A hard tray ( 2 ) is for carrying socket connectors ( 4 ) each having a pick up cap ( 3 ) mounted thereon. The pick up cap has a rectangular base ( 30 ) with a plane top surface ( 300 ). The hard tray has a generally rectangular bracket body ( 23 ). A rectangular array of openings ( 24 ) is defined in the bracket body, for receiving corresponding socket connectors therein. First and second extending portions ( 200, 220 ) are formed in each opening, for supporting a corresponding socket connector. A bottom portion ( 26 ) is defined in the opening and has a bottom surface ( 260 ) rough enough to avoid sucking with the top surface of a corresponding pick up cap. Therefore, in carriage, the bottom surfaces of the bottom portions of an upper hard tray do not suck the top surfaces of the pick up caps mounted on the socket connectors of an adjacent lower hard tray.

1 . A hard tray for socket connectors each having a pick up cap mounted thereon, the pick up cap defining a top surface, the hard tray comprising:
a bracket body having a plurality of first spacers and a plurality of second spacers perpendicular to the first spacers, two adjacent first spacers and two adjacent second spacers cooperatively defining an opening for receiving a corresponding socket connector therein; wherein the bracket body defines a bottom portion in the opening, the bottom portion defines a bottom surface rough enough so as to prevent the bottom surface from sucking a corresponding top surface of the pick up cap.
2 . The hard tray of claim 1 , wherein at least one of the adjacent first spacers has a first extending portion extending into the opening.
3 . The hard tray of claim 2 , wherein the first extending portion defines a top surface higher than the bottom portion.
4 . The hard tray of claim 3 , wherein at least one of the adjacent second spacers has a second extending portion extending into the opening.
5 . The hard tray of claim 4 , wherein the second extending portion defines a top surface coplanar with the top surface of the first extending portion.
6 . The hard tray of claim 1 , wherein the openings at symmetrically opposite ends of the bracket body are partly closed by corresponding bottom portions.
7 . The hard tray of claim 6 , wherein the remaining openings of the bracket body are fully closed by corresponding bottom portions.
8 . The hard tray of claim 7 , wherein the bracket body defines a pair of ear portions at opposite ends thereof.
9 . In combination,
a plurality of hard trays closely stacked with one another, each of said hard trays defining a plurality of upward openings; and a plurality of electronic parts disposed in the corresponding openings, respectively, each of said electronic parts defining an upward top plane for suction, the hard tray defining a bottom portion under each of said openings, said bottom portion closely facing downwardly toward the upward top plane of another electronic part disposed in the corresponding opening of another hard tray under said hard tray; wherein a bottom surface of said bottom portion is not smoothly planar so as not to result in improper suction between the bottom portion and the upward top plane of said another electronic part when the upward top plane of said electronic part is suctioned by a nozzle for displacement of said electronic part.
10 . The combination of claim 9 , wherein said bottom surface of said bottom portion is provided with a plurality of tiny protrusions to be in a rough form.
11 . A hard tray for holding electronic parts equipped with a planar top surface for suction, comprising:
a bracket body having a plurality of spacers commonly defining a plurality of upward openings for holding said electronic parts therein; and the bracket body defines a bottom portion under each of the opening, the bottom portion defines a bottom surface which is configured to be not smoothly planar but with either recesses or openings therein for preventing suction derived from a plane vs. plane structure between the bottom surface and the planar top surface of another electronic part located right below said bottom portion.
