Claims
Abstract
A container for flowers and other plant parts, for use in motor vehicles. The container includes a receptacle having a closed bottom, an open top, and sides that connect the bottom and top, and means to support flower stems and other plant parts that are inserted into the receptacle. The container can further include a ring such as a detachable grooved ring for holding aromatic substances and to prevent water from splashing out of the container.

1 . A container for items, comprising:
a) a receptacle adapted to be received in a motor vehicle drink holder, the receptacle comprising:
i) a closed bottom,
ii) a top with an opening, and
iii) sides that connect the bottom and the top; and
b) means for supporting a plant stem inserted into the receptacle.
2 . The container of claim 1 wherein the supporting means is a set of prongs.
3 . The container of claim 1 wherein the supporting means is a frog.
4 . The container of claim 1 , further comprising a ring positioned in the receptacle.
5 . The container of claim 4 wherein the ring is detachable.
6 . The container of claim 5 wherein the detachable ring is a detachable grooved ring.
7 . The container of claim 1 , the container configured to stand on its own independent of the drink holder.
8 . A container for items, comprising:
a) a cup-shaped receptacle adapted to be received in a motor vehicle drink holder, the receptacle comprising:
i) a closed bottom,
ii) a top with an opening, and
iii) sides that converge from the top to the bottom;
b) a detachable ring positioned in the receptacle; and c) a set of prongs in the bottom of the receptacle, for supporting a plant stem.
9 . The container of claim 8 wherein the bottom and top are generally circular and the ring is a detachable grooved ring.
10 . A method of displaying a part of a plant, comprising the steps of, in either order:
a) inserting the plant part into a container adapted to be received in a motor vehicle drink holder; and b) placing the container into the drink holder.
