Door jamb repair assembly

Abstract

A universal and decorative plate assembly is mounted on the door-jamb to cover and repair the damaged area. When that area has been damaged by the jamb bracket and screws being torn loose from the door-jamb.

Having described my invention I claim:  
     
         1 . I have developed a door-jamb repair assembly kit consisting of an aesthetic plate, a jamb bracket and screws. I claim that this assembly provides an aesthetic method to repair door jambs that have been damaged when the jamb bracket has been torn from the door-jamb. 
 The assembly will cover the damaged door jamb area that has occurred as a result of the original jamb bracket being torn from the door-jamb. It also provides a universal method of repairing different sections of the door-jamb as the screw holes are located in three different areas on the plate allowing the plate to be placed at any position on the door-jamb. In addition, my method of fastening the plate to the door-jamb and into the rough framing greatly increases the force necessary to pull the replaced door-jamb bracket from the door-jamb.
