Abstract

A knock-down 2 swing door storage cupboard that is ready-to-assemble in accordance with the method of the present invention. The cupboard has two front doors that can be opened and shut by using hinge pins instead of a hinge. The cupboard is made of steel that is rigid, durable, and light-weight. The components of the cupboard are packed in a flat carton in order to save the cost of packing and transportation.

What is claimed is:  
     
         1 . A cupboard comprising a back panel made in two parts in order to save space for packaging and transportation, and a bottom panel having a flange that absorbs the upper weight of the bottom panel.  
     
     
         2 . The cupboard recited in  claim 1 , having left and right side panels, wherein each side panel has a top front corner that can be secured to the top panel; a top back corner for reinforcement; a bottom front corner that can be secured to an inner kickplate; and a bottom back corner that can be connected to a cupboard base.  
     
     
         3 . The cupboard recited in  claim 2 , including an inner kickplate, comprising two pre-punched holes on each side of the kickplate in order to force the kickplate to be in the upright position for connection with the left and right side panels.  
     
     
         4 . The cupboard recited in  claim 3 , including a bottom panel that is held by a left, right, front and back flange.  
     
     
         5 . The cupboard recited in  claim 4 , including an outer kickplate that is used for attaching the inner kickplate by inserting a plastic door guide going through a hole in an outer bottom rail and through a hole of the inner bottom rail.  
     
     
         6 . The cupboard recited in  claim 5 , including a top panel that includes a slot to hold the left and right back panel and left and right side panels.  
     
     
         7 . The cupboard recited in  claim 6 , including a plurality of shelves which are attached using a plurality of shelf clips.  
     
     
         8 . The cupboard recited in  claim 7 , including a left door and right door, means for preventing one of the doors from opening, and means for absorbing the impact of one of the doors from hitting the cupboard when closing.  
     
     
         9 . The cupboard recited in  claim 8 , including a swan handle and means for locking both the top and bottom of one of the doors.  
     
     
         10 . A ready to assemble cupboard comprising a top panel, bottom panel, left panel, right panel, back panel, left door, right door, shelves, and kickplates, said back panel constructed to be unfolded and connected to the side and back panels, and including an L-bar to strengthen the corner of the cupboard; a top and bottom rail to reinforce the left and right door, and bolts fixing the shelf to the cupboard that cannot be removed by hand.  
     
     
         11 . The cupboard recited in  claim 10 , wherein the components are assembled with bolts and screws except that the door is assembled with a hinge pin.  
     
     
         12 . The cupboard recited in  claim 11 , including means for locking the doors.
