Mobile elevating hut

Abstract

A mobile elevating hut product, which has a trailer, a platform, legs connecting the platform and the trailer, and a lifter for sequentially and repeatably moving the platform to and from a raised position. The trailer enables the product to be moved to different locations and set up with the platform in the raised position. The platform in the raised position is freestanding and fully supported by the legs. The freestanding, fully supported platform is resistant to accidental and unexpected lowering caused by transient events. The platform in the raised position provides an elevated lookout perch for work, recreation, and other purposes.

Claimed is:  
     
         1 . A mobile elevating hut comprising: 
 a trailer;    a platform,    the platform having legs,    the legs comprising: 
 a front leg connecting the platform to the trailer,  
 the front leg being pivotally connected to a first platform point,  
 the front leg being pivotally connected to a first trailer point;  
 a rear leg connecting the platform to the trailer,  
 the rear leg being pivotally connected to a second platform point,  
 the rear leg being pivotally connected to a second trailer point;  
 the first platform point, the first trailer point, the second platform point, and the second trailer point being at the four vertices of a closed figure;  
   a lifter,    the lifter in use acting between the platform and the trailer,    the lifter in use providing raising energy for moving the platform to a raised position;    the platform in the raised position being fully supported by the legs without any support from the lifter;    the platform requiring lowering energy to move from the raised position; and    the lifter in use providing lowering energy for moving the platform from the raised position;    the lifter in use sequentially providing raising energy for moving the platform to the raised position and providing lowering energy for moving the from the raised position.    
     
     
         2 . The product of  claim 1  wherein the closed figure is a parallelogram.  
     
     
         3 . The product of  claim 1  wherein the closed figure is not a parallelogram.  
     
     
         4 . The product of  claim 1  further comprising a lock, the lock in use acting between the trailer and the platform, the lock in use holding the platform in a position, the lock in use holding the platform without support from the lifter.  
     
     
         5 . The product of  claim 1  wherein the lifter comprises a winch.  
     
     
         6 . A mobile elevating hut comprising: 
 a trailer,    a platform;    the platform having legs,    the legs comprising: 
 a first front leg connecting the platform to the trailer,  
 the first front leg being pivotally connected to a first platform point,  
 the first front leg being pivotally connected to a first trailer point;  
 a second front leg connecting the platform to the trailer,  
 the second front leg being pivotally connected to a second platform point,  
 the second front leg being pivotally connected to a second trailer point;  
 a first rear leg connecting the platform to the trailer,  
 the first rear leg being pivotally connected to a third platform point,  
 the first rear leg being pivotally connected to a third trailer point;  
 a second rear leg connecting the platform to the trailer,  
 the second rear leg being pivotally connected to a fourth platform point,  
 the second rear leg being pivotally connected to a fourth trailer point;  
 the first platform point, the first trailer point, the second platform point, and the second trailer point being at the four vertices of a first closed figure;  
 the third platform point, the third trailer point, the fourth platform point, and the fourth trailer point being at the four vertices of a second closed figure;  
   a winch,    the winch in use acting between the platform and the trailer,    the winch in use providing raising energy for moving the platform to a raised position;    the platform in the raised position being fully supported by the legs without any support from the lifter,    the platform requiring lowering energy to move from the raised position; and    the winch in use providing lowering energy for moving the platform from the raised position;    the winch in use sequentially providing raising energy for moving the platform to the raised position and providing lowering energy for moving the from the raised position.    
     
     
         7 . The product of  claim 6  wherein the first closed figure is a parallelogram.  
     
     
         8 . The product of  claim 6  wherein the first closed figure is not a parallelogram.
