Headwear item, and more particularly a cap, a visor and others

Abstract

The invention concerns a headwear item, formed of a headdress ( 1 ) open or closed, fitted with 2 visor ( 2 ) and elastic means ( 3 ) co-operating with said headdress ( 1 ). According to the invention, said headdress exhibits at least one cut-out ( 4 ) at least over a portion of its periphery, and said elastic means ( 3 ) co-operate with said headdress ( 1 ) at least at said cut-out ( 4 ) and remain visible at said cut-out ( 4 ).

We claim:  
     
         1 . A headwear item, formed of a headdress ( 1 ) open or closed, fitted with a visor ( 2 ) and elastic means ( 3 ) co-operating with said headdress ( 1 ), characterized in that said headdress ( 1 ) exhibits at least one cut-out ( 4 ) at least over a portion of its periphery, and in that said elastic means ( 3 ) are provided over the whole periphery of said headdress, co-operate with said headdress ( 1 ) at least at said cut-out ( 4 ) and remain visible at said cut-out ( 4 ).  
     
     
         2 . An item according to  claim 1 , wherein said out-out ( 4 ) may be provided along a selvedge line ( 5 ) substantially parallel to the lower rim ( 6 ) of said headdress ( 1 ) and over a height h with respect to said lower rim ( 6 ).  
     
     
         3 . An item according to any of the preceding claims, wherein said elastic means ( 3 ) are in the form of an elastic band whereof the width I corresponds at least to the height h of said cut-out ( 4 ).  
     
     
         4 . An item according to  claim 3 , wherein the upper rim ( 7 ) of said elastic band is sewed to said headdress ( 1 ) at said selvedge line ( 5 ).  
     
     
         5 . An item according to  claim 4 , wherein the lower rim of said elastic band is sewed moreover at said lower rim ( 6 ) of said headdress ( 1 ) at least at the front of said headdress ( 1 ).  
     
     
         6 . An item according to  claim 1 , wherein said cut-out is provided for instance as a semicrescent, extending from the lower rim of said headdress to the summit ( 12 ) thereof.  
     
     
         7 . An item according to any of the preceding claims, wherein said headdress ( 1 ) is composed of an inextensible textile.  
     
     
         8 . An item according to any of the preceding claims, wherein said headdress ( 1 ) is closed and composed of pieces of fabric ( 10 ) manufactured into semi-spheres.  
     
     
         9 . An item according to any of the  claims 1  to  6 , wherein said headdress is in the form of a band ( 11 ).  
     
     
         10 . An item according to any of the preceding claims, wherein said visor ( 2 ) is composed of a thin shape, of rigid material, covered with a fabric.
