Pom-pom puppet and method of cheering with pom-pom puppet

Abstract

The puppet for cheering includes a handle and a head member connected to the handle. The puppet further includes one or more manipulable limbs carried by the handle, wherein the manipulable limbs comprise a limb assembly, the limb assembly in turn comprising an upper limb element pivotably connected to the body portion, an extending limb element pivotably carried on the upper limb element, wherein the extending limb element carries a variety of attachments at the end thereof, including various athletic elements, food and beverage items, flags and other items. An activation means for activating the upper limb element and the extending limb elements, including trigger means, are disposed so as to allow the user to carry the body portion in one hand, while at the same time controlling the activation means with the same hand.

What is claimed is:  
     
         1 . A puppet for cheering, comprising: 
 a handle;    a head connected to the handle; and    one or more manipulable limbs carried by the handle, wherein said manipulable limbs comprise a limb assembly, said assembly comprising an upper limb element pivotally connected to the body portion, an extending limb element pivotally carried on the upper limb element having a soft boxing glove attachment, an activation means for activating the upper limb element and the extending limb elements, said activation means including trigger means, said trigger means disposed so as to allow the user to carry the body portion in one hand while at the same time controlling the activation means with the same hand.    
     
     
         2 . A puppet for cheering, comprising: 
 a handle;    a head connected to the handle; and    one or more manipulable limbs carried by the handle, wherein said manipulable limbs comprise a limb assembly, said assembly comprising an upper limb element pivotally connected to the body portion, an extending limb element pivotally carried on the upper limb element having an athletic ball attachment, an activation means for activating the upper limb element and the extending limb elements, said activation means including trigger means, said trigger means disposed so as to allow the user to carry the body portion in one hand while at the same time controlling the activation means with the same hand.    
     
     
         3 . The puppet of  claim 2 , wherein the athletic ball is a basketball.  
     
     
         4 . The puppet of  claim 2 , wherein the athletic ball is a soccer ball.  
     
     
         5 . The puppet of  claim 2 , wherein the athletic ball is a football.  
     
     
         6 . The puppet of  claim 2 , wherein the athletic ball and element is a baseball and mitt.  
     
     
         7 . The puppet of  claim 2 , wherein the athletic ball and element is a golf ball and club.  
     
     
         8 . The puppet of  claim 2 , wherein the athletic ball and element is a hockey puck and stick.  
     
     
         9 . A puppet for cheering, comprising: 
 a handle;    a head connected to the handle; and    one or more manipulable limbs carried by the handle, wherein said manipulable limbs comprise a limb assembly, said assembly comprising an upper limb element pivotally connected to the body portion, an extending limb element pivotally carried on the upper limb element having a food or beverage attachment, an activation means for activating the upper limb element and the extending limb elements, said activation means including trigger means, said trigger means disposed so as to allow the user to carry the body portion in one hand while at the same time controlling the activation means with the same hand, wherein the limb assembly and the activation means are arranged to bring the food or beverage attachment to a mouth area of the head.    
     
     
         10 . A puppet for cheering, comprising: 
 a handle;    a head connected to the handle; and    one or more manipulable limbs carried by the handle, wherein said manipulable limbs comprise a limb assembly, said assembly comprising an upper limb element pivotally connected to the body portion, an extending limb element pivotally carried on the upper limb element having a flag attachment, an activation means for activating the upper limb element and the extending limb elements, said activation means including trigger means, said trigger means disposed so as to allow the user to carry the body portion in one hand while at the same time controlling the activation means with the same hand.    
     
     
         11 . A puppet as in  claim 10 , wherein the limb assembly and the activation means are arranged to bring the microphone to the mouth area of the head.  
     
     
         12 . A puppet as in  claim 10 , wherein the attachment is a foam hand with a large extended index finger.
