Hockey goal

Abstract

A hockey goal having a hockey goal frame, a plurality of open-faced net connection loops based around the frame and a hockey net connected to the frame through the open-faced connection loops.

1 . A hockey goal comprising: 
 a hockey goal frame;    a plurality of open-faced net connection loops spaced along portions of said frame; and    a hockey net connected to said frame through said connection loops.    
     
     
         2 . The hockey goal of  claim 1  wherein said frame includes a forward frame member and a lower frame member.  
     
     
         3 . The hockey goal of  claim 2  wherein said plurality of net connection loops are spaced along the entirety of said forward frame member and said lower frame member.  
     
     
         4 . The hockey goal of  claim 3  wherein said frame includes a net supporting frame member.  
     
     
         5 . The hockey goal of  claim 1  wherein said net includes a peripheral edge and a plurality of net edge openings along said peripheral edge, each of said net edge openings defined by a plurality of net cord sections including an edge cord section.  
     
     
         6 . The hockey goal of  claim 5  wherein said net is connected to said frame by said edge cord sections being connected with said connection loops.  
     
     
         7 . The hockey goal of  claim 5  including an edge connection cord through said net edge openings along the peripheral edge of said net.  
     
     
         8 . The hockey goal of  claim 7  wherein said net is connected to said frame by said edge connection cord being connected with said connection loops.  
     
     
         9 . The hockey goal of  claim 8  wherein said edge connection cord is a closed loop connection cord.  
     
     
         10 . The hockey goal of  claim 9  wherein said edge connection cord is constructed of an elastic material.  
     
     
         11 . The hockey goal of  claim 10  wherein the total length of frame portions having connection loop defines a connector frame length.  
     
     
         12 . The hockey goal of  claim 10  wherein said net connection cord has a stretched length and an unstretched length and wherein said unstretched length is less than said connector frame length.  
     
     
         13 . The hockey goal of  claim 1  wherein said frame is comprised of a plurality of selectively connectable frame sections.  
     
     
         14 . The hockey goal of  claim 1  wherein said connection loop includes a pair of ends fixed to said frame and a central loop portion to which a closed loop member can be connected without threading such closed loop member through said connection loop.  
     
     
         15 . The hockey goal of  claim 14  wherein said connection loop is a wire structure.  
     
     
         16 . A method of assembling a hockey goal comprising: 
 providing a hockey goal frame having a plurality of open-faced net connection loops spaced along portions of said frame;    providing a hockey net having an edge cord extending continuously around the periphery of the net; and    attaching said net to said frame by connecting said edge cord to each of said open-faced connection loops.    
     
     
         17 . The method of  claim 16  wherein the step of providing a net includes providing a net wherein said net includes a net mesh with edge openings around the periphery of said net mesh and a closed loop connection cord defining the periphery of said net mesh.  
     
     
         18 . The method of  claim 16  wherein the step of providing a net includes providing a net wherein said net includes a net mesh with edge openings around the periphery of said net mesh and a separate closed loop connection cord woven through said edge openings.  
     
     
         19 . The method of  claim 18  wherein the step of providing a net includes providing a connection cord which is elastic.
