Abstract
A modular rotational assembly is providing having an upper plate and at least one radiant energy source. The modular rotational assembly may have at least two radiant energy sources. The modular rotational assembly may also include at least one reflective cup, wherein the radiant energy source is located within the reflective cup. The modular rotational assembly may also include a web cutter. The web cutter may include at least one cutting member and at least one wheel assembly.

1 . A modular rotational assembly capable of being attached to a system for heat-shrinking a film comprising:
an upper plate; and at least one reflective cup having a reflective interior surface and wherein the interior surface of the reflective cup has as least an elliptical portion and a parabolic portion.
2 . The modular rotational assembly according to claim 1 including at least two reflective cups.
3 . The modular rotational assembly according to claim 1 including at least three reflective cups.
4 . The modular rotational assembly according to claim 1 wherein the a radiant energy source is located within the at least one reflective cup.
5 . The modular rotational assembly according to claim 1 wherein the interior surface of the reflective cup is coated with a material to enhance surface reflectively.
6 . The modular rotational assembly according to claim 5 wherein the material to enhance surface reflectivity is a gold or silver metallic reflective surface.
7 . The modular rotational assembly according to claim 1 wherein the at least one reflective cup has cooling fins.
8 . The modular rotational assembly according to claim 4 including at least two reflective cups.
9 . The modular rotational assembly according to claim 4 including at least three reflective cups.
10 . The modular rotational assembly according to claim 1 wherein the modular rotational assembly further includes at least two locking posts, the locking posts capable with being slideably connectable to the system for shrinking a film.
11 . A modular rotational assembly capable of being attached to a system for heat-shrinking a film comprising:
an upper plate; and a web cutter capable of cutting a substantially circular portion from a polymeric web.
12 . The modular rotational assembly according to claim 11 wherein the upper plate has at least one receiving hole, and the web cutter includes at least one wheel assembly, wherein the wheel assembly includes a wheel housing and at least two wheel members, and at least one cutting member disposed between the wheel members.
13 . The modular rotational assembly according to claim 12 wherein the wheel assembly has a first position wherein the cutting member does not extend below the wheel members and a second position wherein the cutting member extends below the wheel members.
14 . The modular rotational assembly according to claim 13 wherein the wheel assembly includes at least one post that is in slideable communication with the upper plate receiving hole, and wherein the cutting member is in fixed communication with the upper plate.
15 . The modular rotational assembly according to claim 12 including at least two wheel assemblies.
16 . The modular rotational assembly according to claim 12 including at least three wheel assemblies.
17 . The modular rotational assembly according to claim 12 including at least two cutting members.
18 . The modular rotational assembly according to claim 12 including at least three cutting members.
19 . The modular rotational assembly according to claim 12 wherein the wheel members are rotatably mounted on a axis.
20 . The modular rotational assembly according to claim 12 wherein the at least one cutting member is housed within a cutting member assembly, wherein an upper portion of the cutting member assembly extends above the upper plate.
21 . The modular rotational assembly according to claim 12 wherein the upper portion of the cutting member is a locking post.
22 . The modular rotational assembly according to claim 21 further including a driver, and wherein the modular rotational assembly is slideably connectable to the driver.
23 . The modular rotational assembly according to claim 22 wherein the modular rotational assembly further includes at least two locking posts and the driver further includes at least two detents capable of receiving the locking posts.
24 . The modular rotational assembly according to claim 13 further including wheel retraction stopper means capable of holding each wheel in the first position when the modular rotational assembly is removed from the heat shrinking system.
25 . The modular rotational assembly according to claim 24 wherein the wheel retraction stopper means includes a cylindrical housing, a pivot driver located at a first end of the cylindrical housing and extending above the upper plate, and a stopper piece located at a second end of the cylindrical housing.
26 . The modular rotational assembly according to claim 25 wherein the stopper piece is positively biased to contact a wheel assembly post.
27 . The modular rotational assembly according to claim 26 further including a driver, wherein the driver further includes openings capable of receiving the pivot drivers.
28 . The modular rotational assembly according to claim 27 wherein the stopper piece is capable of being moved away from the post when the pivot drivers are received in the openings.
29 . A modular rotational assembly capable of being attached to a system for heat-shrinking a film comprising:
an upper plate; at least one radiant energy source; and a web cutter, wherein the modular rotational assembly is capable of being attached to a driver.
30 . The modular rotational assembly according to claim 29 including at least two radiant energy sources.
31 . The modular rotational assembly according to claim 29 including at least three radiant energy sources.
32 . The modular rotational assembly according to claim 29 further including at least one reflective cup, wherein the at least one radiant energy source is located within the at least one reflective cup.
33 . The modular rotational assembly according to claim 32 wherein the reflective cup has a reflective interior surface and wherein the interior surface of the reflective cup has as least an elliptical portion and a parabolic portion.
34 . The modular rotational assembly according to claim 33 wherein the interior surface of the reflective cup is coated with a material to enhance surface reflectivity.
35 . The modular rotational assembly according to claim 34 wherein the material to enhance surface reflectivity is a gold or silver metallic reflective surface.
36 . The modular rotational assembly according to claim 34 wherein the at least one reflective cup has cooling fins.
37 . The modular rotational assembly according to claim 29 wherein the upper plate has at least one receiving hole, and the web cutter includes at least one wheel assembly, wherein the wheel assembly includes a wheel housing and at least two wheel members, and at least one cutting member disposed between the wheel members.
38 . The modular rotational assembly according to claim 37 wherein the wheel assembly has a first position wherein the cutting member does not extend below the wheel members and a second position wherein the cutting member extends below the wheel members.
39 . The modular rotational assembly according to claim 37 wherein the wheel assembly includes at least one post that is in slideable communication with the upper plate receiving hole, and wherein the cutting member is in fixed communication with the upper plate.
40 . The modular rotational assembly according to claim 37 including at least two wheel assemblies.
41 . The modular rotational assembly according to claim 37 including at least three wheel assemblies.
42 . The modular rotational assembly according to claim 37 including at least two cutting members.
43 . The modular rotational assembly according to claim 37 including at least three cutting members.
44 . The modular rotational assembly according to claim 37 wherein the wheel members are rotatably mounted on a axis.
45 . The modular rotational assembly according to claim 37 wherein the at least one cutting member is housed within a cutting member assembly, wherein an upper portion of the cutting member assembly extends above the upper plate.
46 . The modular rotational assembly according to claim 37 wherein the upper portion of the cutting member is a locking post.
47 . The modular rotational assembly according to claim 46 wherein the modular rotational assembly is slideably connectable to the driver.
48 . The modular rotational assembly according to claim 47 wherein the modular rotational assembly further includes at least two locking posts and the driver further includes at least two detents capable of receiving the locking posts.
49 . The modular rotational assembly according to claim 38 further including wheel retraction stopper means capable of holding each wheel in the first position when the modular rotational assembly is removed from the heat shrinking system.

The modular rotational assembly according to claim 49 wherein the wheel retraction stopper means includes a cylindrical housing, a pivot driver located at a first end of the cylindrical housing and extending above the upper plate, and a stopper piece located at a second end of the cylindrical housing.
51 . The modular rotational assembly according to claim 50 wherein the stopper piece is positively biased to contact a wheel assembly post.
52 . The modular rotational assembly according to claim 51 further including a driver, wherein the driver further includes openings capable of receiving the pivot drivers.
53 . The modular rotational assembly according to claim 52 wherein the stopper piece is capable of being moved away from the post when the pivot drivers are received in the openings.
54 . The modular rotational assembly according to claim 32 including at least two reflective cups.
55 . The modular rotational assembly according to claim 32 including at least three reflective cups.
56 . A modular rotational assembly comprising;
