Abstract

Treating humans and animals intoxicated with a bacterial toxin by administration of antitoxin. Avian antitoxin in an aqueous solution in therapeutic amount that is orally administrable.

What is claimed is:  
     
         1 . A method, comprising: 
 a) providing: 
 i) a subject; and  
 ii) an orally administrable aqueous solution comprising avian antitoxin; and  
   b) orally administering said avian antitoxin to said subject.    
     
     
         2 . The method of  claim 1 , wherein said antitoxin comprises botulinus antitoxin.  
     
     
         3 . The method of  claim 1 , wherein said aqueous solution comprises a nutritional formula.  
     
     
         4 . The method of  claim 3 , wherein said nutritional formula comprises infant formula.
