Antiwrinkle composition and age reversal complex

Abstract

An alkaline anti-wrinkling cosmetic coposition comprising carnosine, derivative thereof or mixture of coanosine and derivative thereof.

1 . An alkaline cosmetic composition having a pH of about 7.5 to about 9.5, said composition being effective against skin wrinkling, said composition comprising carnosine dispensed in an alkaline cosmetically acceptable vehicle in an effective antiwrinkle amount of up to about 50% by weight of carnosine, derivatives thereof and mixtures of carnosine and derivatives thereof.  
     
     
         2 . The alkaline cosmetic composition claimed in  claim 1  wherein the amount of carnosine, derivative thereof or mixture of carnosine and derivative thereof is about 0.5% to about 50% by weight.  
     
     
         3 . The alkaline cosmetic composition claimed in  claim 2  wherein carnosine, derivative thereof or mixture of carnosine and derivative thereof is present in amount of about 1.5% to about 30% by weight.  
     
     
         4 . The alkaline cosmetic composition claimed in  claim 2  wherein carnosine, derivative thereof or mixture of carnosine and derivative thereof is present in amount of about 10% to about 20% by weight.  
     
     
         5 . The alkaline cosmetic composition claimed in  claim 1  wherein carnosine is present.  
     
     
         6 . The alkaline cosmetic composition claimed in  claim 1  wherein N-acetyl carnosine is present.  
     
     
         7 . The alkaline cosmetic composition claimed of  claim 1  wherein said carnosine, derivatives of carnosine and mixtures of carnosine and derivatives of carnosine are present in a complex with at least one of an antioxidant agent, an anti-inflammatory agent, a skin penetration agent, a neutralizing agent of reactive radicals, an anti-inflammatory agent, a cell stimulant, a growth promoting and bio-activating agent, and an immune system enhancer.  
     
     
         8 . The alkaline cosmetic composition claimed in  claim 1  wherein said cosmetic composition is a composition for application to the skin as a daytime composition, a nighttime composition, a skin toning composition, a facial wash composition, or as a periorbital composition applied around the eyes.
