Shelf assembly, shelf body, and shelf support
Abstract
Disclosed is a shelf assembly which can be mounted as a unit to a desired spot such as a wall with stability, cohesiveness, and design. The shelf assembly includes a shelf support and a shelf body. The shelf support includes a fixing part at least a portion of which is in contact with the desired spot, and a fall prevention part holding the shelf body while preventing it from falling off. The shelf body includes a cavity which can encase the shelf body entirely. Preferable examples include an example in which the fall prevention part has a leaf spring structure, an example in which the fixing part is substantially straight or has a shape resembling the letter “L,” and an example in which the desired spot is a corner wall and the shelf support comprises two fixing parts and a fall prevention part arranged between the two fixing parts.
Claims
exact text as granted — not AI-modifiedWhat is claimed is:
1 . A shelf assembly, comprising:
a shelf support having a fixing part and a fall prevention part; and a shelf body having a cavity to encase the shelf support entirely, wherein the fixing part may be fixed to a desired spot by at least a portion thereof, and the fall prevention part is capable of holding the shelf body while preventing the shelf body from falling off.
2 . A shelf assembly according to claim 1 , wherein the desired spot is a wall, and the fixing part comprises a wall-touching surface which touches the wall.
3 . A shelf assembly according to claim 1 , wherein the shelf support comprises a projecting body extending from the fixing part, and the fall prevention part is arranged on the projecting body.
4 . A shelf assembly according to claim 3 , wherein the fall prevention part comprises a leaf spring structure which is capable of pressing an inner wall of the shelf body in the cavity.
5 . A shelf assembly according to claim 3 , wherein the fixing part is formed of a board, and a plurality of projecting bodies are arranged at both ends of the fixing part.
6 . A shelf assembly according to claim 3 , wherein the fixing part is formed of an L-shaped board, and a plurality of projecting bodies are arranged at both ends of the fixing part.
7 . A shelf assembly according to claim 1 , wherein the desired spot is a corner wall, and the fixing part comprises a corner-wall touching surface which touches the wall.
8 . A shelf assembly according to claim 7 , wherein the shelf support comprises:
a first fixing part; a second fixing part; and a fall prevention part arranged between the first fixing part and the second fixing part.
9 . A shelf assembly according to claim 8 , wherein the fall prevention part is positioned at a corner portion of the corner wall when the fixing parts are fixed on the corner wall.
10 . A shelf assembly according to claim 8 , wherein the shelf support further comprises:
a first hinge connecting one end of the first fixing part to the fall prevention part; and a second hinge connecting one end of the second fixing part to the fall prevention part.
11 . A shelf assembly according to claim 10 , wherein the first hinge and the second hinge each comprise at least one thin part.
12 . A shelf assembly according to claim 11 , wherein an angle formed by the first fixing part and the second fixing part can be changed.
13 . A shelf assembly according to claim 8 , wherein the fall prevention part further comprises a shelf body-guiding surface which is slanted upward to guide an upper part of an inner wall of the shelf body in the cavity of the shelf body when the shelf support is encased in the cavity of the shelf body.
14 . A shelf assembly according to claim 1 , wherein the shelf body comprises at least one protrusion at an inner edge of the cavity.
15 . A shelf assembly according to claim 14 , wherein the protrusion is formed into at least one of a line and a dot.
16 . A shelf assembly according to claim 14 , wherein the fixing part comprises a bent part which is arranged along the length of the fixing part.
17 . A shelf assembly according to claim 16 , wherein the protrusion can engage with the bent part of the fixing part.
18 . A shelf assembly according to claim 17 , wherein the fixing part is formed of a board, and the protrusion is arranged so that the protrusion can engage with the fixing part at a portion thereof which is close to the end of the fixing part.
19 . A shelf assembly according to claim 14 , wherein the fixing part is formed of an L-shaped board; and the shelf body comprises a plurality of the protrusions which are arranged so that at least one of the protrusions can engage with the fixing part at a first portion thereof between a corner and a first end of the fixing part and closer to the corner than the first end, and at least one of the other protrusions can engage with the fixing part at a second portion thereof between the corner and a second end of the fixing part and closer to the corner than the second end.
20 . A shelf assembly according to claim 8 , wherein the shelf body comprises a protrusion at an inner edge of the cavity, and the fall prevention part comprises an edge between the fall prevention part and the corner wall, the edge being capable of engaging with the protrusion of the shelf body, forming an engaging region when the shelf support is fixed on the corner wall.
21 . A shelf assembly according to claim 20 , wherein the protrusion is positioned in the engaging region when the shelf support is encased entirely in the cavity of the shelf body.
22 . A shelf assembly according to claim 21 , wherein the protrusion is in contact with the edge of the fall prevention part when the shelf support is encased entirely in the cavity of the shelf body.
23 . A shelf support, comprising:
a fixing part at least a portion of which may be fixed to a desired spot; and a fall prevention part which may hold a shelf body while preventing the shelf body from falling off.
24 . A shelf body, comprising a member having a cavity which can encase a shelf support entirely when the shelf body is mounted on the shelf support.
25 . A shelf body according to claim 24 , wherein the shelf body is one of a board shelf body, an L-shaped shelf body, a corner shelf body, and a box-shaped shelf body.Join the waitlist — get patent alerts
