Home purchase organizer

Abstract

A home owner information organizer for organizing information regarding the purchase and ownership of a home, including storing legal documents and providing a location for the recordation of important information and phone numbers. The system for organizing information is stored in a box-like container which includes a handle, and is compatible with shelf storage. The system includes a box for containing the information, and a folder on which information is printed or written, relating to local service providers, and community information such as schools and service organization information.

I claim:  
     
         1 . A home owner document organizer comprising: 
 a box configured to hold at least one folder, said box able to be opened and closed, said box having a fastener enabling said box to be fixedly closed; and    a folder configured for providing display of information pertinent to a homeowner;    wherein said box is configured for compatibility with shelf storage, and is configured to provide containment for a variety of documents related to home ownership, and said folder is configured to contain documents and display information pertinent to home ownership.    
     
     
         2 . The home owner document organizer of  claim 1  in which said folder further includes printed information thereon, said folder having printed adjacent said information a number of corresponding blanks, said blanks allowing a user of said organizer to write data pertaining to said information on said folder.  
     
     
         3 . The home owner document organizer of  claim 1  wherein said box comprises at least one carrying handle extending therefrom.  
     
     
         4 . The home owner document organizer of  claim 1  which further includes an integral paper fastener therein for allowing a plurality of sheets of paper to be fastened within said folder.  
     
     
         5 . The home owner document organizer of  claim 1  in which said box is generally similar in configuration to a briefcase.  
     
     
         6 . A system for organizing home ownership papers, comprising: 
 a box configured to hold at least one folder, said box able to be opened and closed, said box having a fastener enabling said box to be fixedly closed; and    a folder configured for providing display of information pertinent to a homeowner;    wherein said box is configured for compatibility with shelf storage, and is configured to provide containment for documents related to home ownership, including mortgage papers, appliance warranties, builder check-off lists, and paint identification codes, and said folder is configured to contain documents and display information pertinent to home ownership, including service provider information, community and school information.    
     
     
         7 . A home owner organizer comprising: 
 a box configured to hold at least one folder, said box able to be opened and closed; and    a paper folder, said folder having printed thereon information, said folder having printed adjacent said information a number of corresponding blanks, said blanks allowing a user of said organizer to add data pertaining to said information.    
     
     
         8 . A home owner organizer comprising: 
 a box configured to hold at least one folder, said box able to be opened and closed; and    a paper folder, said folder having printed thereon information, said folder having printed adjacent said information a number of corresponding blanks, said blanks allowing a user of said organizer to add data pertaining to said information, said paper folder having an integral paper fastener therein for allowing a plurality of sheets of paper to be fastened within said paper folder.    
     
     
         9 . A method of organizing documents relating to the purchase of a home, said method comprising the steps of: 
 providing a box, said box configured to store at least one paper folder and documents relating to said purchase, said box able to be opened and closed, said box having a fastener enabling said box to be fixedly closed; and    providing a paper folder, said folder having printed thereon information, said folder having printed adjacent said information a number of corresponding blanks, said blanks allowing a user of said organizer to add data pertaining to said information;    wherein said user writes said data on said folder;    wherein said user stores said folder in said box.
