Claims

Abstract

An electric scooter includes a board having a seat assembly extending from a top surface thereof and a motor connected to the board and drives a rear wheel connected to an underside of the board. A connection member with a head tube is connected to a front end of the board and a handlebar post rotatably extends through the head tube. A front wheel and a handlebar are connected to two ends of the handlebar post. An acceleration device is rotatably connected to a first end of the handlebar and two switches are connected to two ends of the handlebar such that the motor is activated only when two switch are operated by two hands of the rider.

What is claimed is:  
     
         1 . An electric scooter comprising: 
 a board having a seat assembly extending from a top surface thereof, a motor connected to the board and a rear wheel connected to an underside of the board, the rear wheel driven by the motor;    a connection member connected to a front end of the board and a head tube connected to the connection member, a handlebar post rotatably extending through the head tube and a front wheel connected to a first end of the handlebar post and a handlebar connected to a second end of the handlebar post, and    an acceleration device rotatably connected to a first end of the handlebar and a first switch connected to a second end of the handlebar, the first switch connected to the motor.    
     
     
         2 . The scooter as claimed in  claim 1  further comprising a second switch connected to the handlebar and located beside the acceleration device, the second switch connected to a control device connected to the board and the first switch.
