Tower display and product rack
Abstract
A tower display which can be mounted to a coffin freezer for displaying product information at a height that facilitates shopper observation and viewing. The tower display includes a base support and a holder, joined by one or more elongated connector elements which maintain the holder in spaced relationship to the base support. The mounting of the base support is adjustable, and the holder secures cards or other elements used to present information pertaining to the items in the freezer unit. The tower display can also include a rack having sets of rods for hanging products and displaying information about such products.

1 . A tower display for use with a coffin-style freezer comprising:
a base support assembly for mounting to the freezer, said base support assembly including elements for securing said tower display to the freezer; an elongated connecting element having an upper end and a lower end, the lower end connected to said base support assembly; a holder connected to the upper end of said elongated connecting element, said holder including a coiled rod member having an overlapping portion, said overlapping portion defining a space for securing a card bearing product information.
2 . The tower display as set forth in claim 1 , wherein said base support assembly includes:
a planer surface member for affixing said base support assembly to a mounting surface of the freezer; and two strap assemblies connected to said elongated connecting element, each of said two strap assemblies having an adjustable strap and a strap hook for hooking onto an edge of the freezer.
3 . The tower display as set forth in claim 2 , wherein said planer surface member includes an adhesive element.
4 . The tower display as set forth in claim 2 , wherein said planer surface member includes a magnetic element.
5 . The tower display as set forth in claim 2 , wherein said planer surface member includes a centering rod extending down a longitudinal axis thereof, and two angular legs for stabilization.
6 . The tower display as set forth in claim 2 , wherein said elongated connecting element is a single display pole.
7 . The tower display as set forth in claim 1 , wherein said elongated connecting element includes two elongated rods spaced from one another.
8 . The tower display as set forth in claim 7 , wherein said base support assembly includes:
two plate members having a generally rectangular shape, each plate member having a semicircular member extending substantially perpendicularly from each end thereof, each semicircular member having an arcuate aperture; a divided reinforcement member extending between said two elongated rods, said divided reinforcement member including a center segment and, at each end, an end segment fixedly connected to a respective elongated rod, said divided reinforcement member having a tubular channel running therethrough; and a bolt extending through said arcuate apertures and through said tubular channel, said bolt tightened with a nut, loosening of said nut allowing said bolt to move within said arcuate apertures, movement of said bolt adjusting an angle of said elongated rods and said holder relative to said plate members.
9 . The tower display as set forth in claim 8 , said base support assembly further comprising:
two magnets, each affixed to an underside of a respective plate member; two base plates for magnetically adhering to said two magnets, respectively, said base plates including fastening elements connected to each end thereof for securing said base plate to a mounting structure.
10 . The tower display as set forth in claim 8 , said base support assembly further comprising:
each semicircular member having a diameter edge, a semicircular edge, and a circular aperture; each of said semicircular members connected to one plate member along a portion of the diameter edge thereof; lower ends of said two elongated rods extending through said circular apertures to create an axis; wherein said plate members are rotatable upon said axis such that outer longitudinal edges of said plate members can be moved closer to one another.
11 . The tower display as set forth in claim 10 , said base support assembly further comprising:
two magnets, each affixed to an underside of a respective plate member; two base plates for magnetically adhering to said two magnets, respectively, said base plates including fastening elements connected to each end thereof for securing said base plate to a mounting structure.
12 . The tower display as set forth in claim 1 , said holder further comprising a plurality of hanger assemblies, each hanger assembly including a holder rod and a product rod, said holder rod having a holder on a free end thereof for displaying product information, said product rod for hanging products.
13 . The tower display as set forth in claim 12 , wherein the holder rod and the product rod of each hanger assembly have a unitary construction.
14 . The tower display as set forth in claim 12 , wherein said base support assembly includes two strap assemblies connected to said elongated connecting element, each of said two strap assemblies having an adjustable strap and a strap hook for hooking onto an edge of the freezer.
15 . The tower display as set forth in claim 14 , wherein said elongated connecting element is a single display pole and includes a pin passing therethrough, said pin secured by cotter pins on either side of said pole, two U-shaped connectors rotatably attached to said pin and extending on opposite sides of said pole relative to one another, one of said two strap assemblies attached to each U-shaped connector.
16 . The tower display as set forth in claim 7 , wherein said base support assembly includes:
two plate members, each having a semicircular member extending substantially perpendicularly from each end thereof, each semicircular member having an arcuate aperture therein; an adjustable reinforcement member connected to and extending between said two elongated rods, said divided reinforcement member having a tubular channel running therethrough; and an elongated member extending through said arcuate apertures and through said tubular channel for adjusting a tension on said adjustable reinforcement member to allow said elongated member to move within said arcuate apertures, movement of said elongate member adjusting an angle of said elongated rods and said holder relative to said plate members.
17 . The tower display as set forth in claim 16 , said base support assembly further comprising:
two magnets, each affixed to an underside of a respective plate member, for securing said base support assembly to a metal mounting surface.
18 . The tower display as set forth in claim 17 , said base support assembly further comprising:
each semicircular member having a diameter edge, a semicircular edge, and a circular aperture; each of said semicircular members connected to one plate member along a portion of the diameter edge thereof; lower ends of said two elongated rods extending through said circular apertures to create an axis; wherein said plate members are rotatable upon said axis such that outer longitudinal edges of said plate members can be moved closer to one another.
19 . The tower display as set forth in claim 17 , said base support assembly further comprising two base plates for magnetically adhering to said two magnets, respectively, said base plates including fastening elements connected to each end thereof for securing said base plates to a channeled mounting structure.
20 . The tower display as set forth in claim 19 , wherein said fastening elements are rotatably connected to said base plates, said fastening elements including an upwardly extending gripping flange and a corner for catching upon an edge of said channeled mounting structure.
21 . A tower display for use with a coffin-style freezer comprising:
a base support assembly for mounting to the freezer, said base support assembly including two strap assemblies for hooking onto an edge of the freezer for securing said tower display to the freezer; a display pole having an upper end and a lower end, the lower end connected to said base support assembly, said two strap assemblies extending from opposite sides of said display pole; a holder connected to the upper end of said display pole for displaying product information.
22 . The tower display as set forth in claim 21 , further comprising a raised mounting surface base member having a planer surface with a longitudinal axis, a centering rod extending down said axis, and two angular legs for stabilizing said tower display when mounted on a peaked surface.
23 . The tower display as set forth in claim 22 , said holder further comprising a plurality of hanger assemblies, each hanger assembly including a product rod for hanging products, and a holder rod having a holder on a free end thereof for displaying product information.
24 . The tower display as set forth in claim 23 , wherein each of said two strap assemblies includes an adjustable strap and a strap hook for hooking onto the edge of the freezer.
25 . The tower display as set forth in claim 21 , wherein said single display pole includes a pin passing therethrough, two U-shaped connectors rotatably attached to said pin and extending on opposite sides of said pole relative to one another, one of said two strap assemblies attached to each U-shaped connector.
26 . The tower display as set forth in claim 21 , wherein said holder includes a coiled rod member having an overlapping portion defining a space for securing a card bearing said product information.
27 . The tower display as set forth in claim 21 , wherein said base support assembly includes a planer surface with an affixation element on an outer surface thereof for contacting a freezer mounting surface.
28 . The tower display as set forth in claim 27 , wherein said affixation element is an adhesive element.
29 . The tower display as set forth in claim 27 , wherein said affixation element is a magnetic element.
30 . A tower display for use with a coffin-style freezer comprising:
two plate members for securing said tower display to the freezer, each plate member having a semicircular member extending substantially perpendicularly from each end thereof, each semicircular member having an arcuate aperture; two elongated rods spaced from one another, each having an upper end and a lower end, the lower ends connected to said semicircular members; an adjustable reinforcement member connected to and extending between said two elongated rods, said divided reinforcement member having a tubular channel running therethrough; and an elongated member extending through said arcuate apertures and through said tubular channel for adjusting a tension on said adjustable reinforcement member to allow said elongated member to move within said arcuate apertures, movement of said elongated member adjusting an angle of said elongated rods relative to said plate members.
31 . The tower display as set forth in claim 30 , further comprising a holder connected to the upper ends of said elongated rods for securing a card bearing product information.
32 . The tower display as set forth in claim 30 , further comprising:
two magnets, each affixed to an underside of a respective plate member, for securing said tower display to a metal mounting surface.
33 . The tower display as set forth in claim 32 , wherein each semicircular member has a diameter edge, a semicircular edge, and a circular aperture, each of said semicircular members connected to one plate member along a portion of the diameter edge thereof, lower ends of said two elongated rods extending through said circular apertures to create an axis such that said plate members are rotatable upon said axis to allow outer longitudinal edges of said plate members to be moved closer to one another.
34 . The tower display as set forth in claim 33 , wherein said portion is less than a radius length.
35 . The tower display as set forth in claim 32 , further comprising two base plates for magnetically adhering to said two magnets, respectively, said base plates including fastening elements connected to each end thereof for securing said base plates to a channeled mounting structure.
36 .
