Pocket band

Abstract

A portable pocket, the assembly comprising of a pocket that attaches to the arms, legs, thighs or waist of a wearer by means of an adjustable band. A zipper closes the opening of the pocket thereby protecting inserted items from loss or theft. The portable pocket in combination with the adjustable band is a miniature carrying compartment for transporting small quantities of small-sized items thereby eliminating the need to carry bulking purses, wallets, etc. and it does not interfere with freedom of movement.

What I claim is:  
     
         1 . A portable pocket for carrying small quantities of small items such as credit cards keys, paper currency, etc. thereby eliminating the need to carry bulky purses, wallets or pouches for transporting said small quantities of small items whereas said portable pocket attaches to the wearer's arms, legs, thighs or waist by means of an expandable adjustable band that attaches the portable pocket to the wearer wherein said portable pocket is both useful against theft and loss of items.  
     
     
         2 . A portable pocket for carrying small quantities of small items such as credit cards and the like as defined in  claim 1  wherein said opening of pocket runs across the top side edge of portable pocket.  
     
     
         3 . The portable pocket of  claim 1  and including means for closing said opening in said pocket.  
     
     
         4 . The portable pocket of  claim 3  wherein the means for closing said opening in pocket comprises of a zipper sewn across opening and wherein later versions for closing opening may consist of a two strips of velcro.  
     
     
         5 . The portable pocket of  claim 4  wherein later versions for the closing opening made be comprised of two strips of velcro wherein one strip is sewn across the one side of the opening and the other strip of velcro is sewn across the opposing side of the opening to connect and close the opening of said pocket.  
     
     
         6 . The portable pocket comprising of an adjustable band whose opposite vertical ends are singly sewn into opposite sides at the rear of the portable pocket and wherein said adjustable band gives said portable pocket the ability to attach to the wearer's arms, legs, thighs or waist and hold the portable pocket comfortable in place thereby transforming the portable pocket as referenced in  claim 1  into a miniature carrying compartment.  
     
     
         7 . The portable pocket of  claim 6  wherein adjustable band is presently made of a two adjoining strips of sturdy elastic material that fastens to the wearer by means a velcro strip however future versions may consist of buckles, snaps or other methods for fastening the portable pocket of  claim 6  to the wearer and wherein the adjustable band for the waist is comprised of strapping and comes in a belt like design as those used in fanny packs and the size of the portable pocket is determined by the length of the adjustable band.  
     
     
         8 . The portable pocket of  claim 7  wherein the standard sizes are small, medium and large and whereas the dimensions of the pocket are slightly larger than a credit card and whereas the dimensions of the pocket remain the same for all sizes and the length of the adjustable band increases or decreases depending on the size ordered wherein the larger the size the longer the adjustable band and vice versa.  
     
     
         9 . The portable pocket of  claim 7  whereas the dimensions of the pocket are slightly larger than a credit card and measure about 4 inches in length and 3 inches in width and the said pocket comes in a variety of colors and fabrics.  
     
     
         10 . The portable pocket of claim  11  wherein the fabrics used consists of heavy denims, heavy cottons and other sturdy fabrics and the fabrics include designs, monograms, glitter, studs and the like.
