Aperture forming means and package
Abstract
The disclosure relates to aperture forming mechanisms for a dispenser packages, wherein the aperture forming mechanisms comprise peelable seals. In certain embodiments, the package comprises a first member having at least one first peelably sealed, creased or pleated portion and a second member having at least one second peelably sealed, creased or pleated portion, wherein the first member is arranged opposite and is sealed to the second member with an edge seal, and wherein the edge seal extends outwardly on each side of said first and second peelably sealed creased or pleated portions. Grasping the edge seals and pulling away from the creased or pleated portions causes the peel seals to pull apart, thereby opening the package. In other embodiments, the first member and second member are sealed together in a first area by base or edge seals and in a second area by peelable seals, and at least one of the first and second members comprises at least one flap. Pulling the flap peel the first member apart from the second member in the second area at the peelable seals.
Claims
exact text as granted — not AI-modifiedWhat is claimed is:
1 . An aperture forming mechanism for a dispenser package, wherein the aperture forming mechanism comprises a first member and a second member, wherein said first member and said second member are sealed together in a first area by base seals, wherein at least a portion of said first member or said second member is sealed by a peelable seal, and wherein said peelable seal may be pulled open.
2 . An aperture forming mechanism according to claim 1 , wherein at least one of said first and second members comprises a folded or pleated portion that is sealed by said peelable seal.
3 . An aperture forming mechanism according to claim 1 , wherein said peelable seal is located in a second area between said first member and said second member to seal together said first member and said second member, and wherein at least one of said first and second members comprises at least one flap, wherein said flap is configured such that pulling said flap peels said first member apart from said second member in the second area at said peelable seal.
4 . An aperture forming mechanism for a dispenser package, wherein the dispenser package comprises a first member having at least one first peelably sealed, creased or pleated portion and a second member having at least one second peelably sealed, creased or pleated portion, wherein the first member is arranged opposite and is sealed to the second member with an edge seal, and wherein the edge seal extends outwardly on each side of said first and second peelably sealed creased or pleated portions.
5 . An aperture forming mechanism according to claim 4 , wherein the first peelably sealed, creased or pleated portion of the first member is offset from the second peelably sealed, creased or pleated portion of the second member.
6 . An aperture forming mechanism according to claim 4 , wherein the first member has at least two first peelably sealed, creased or pleated portions.
7 . An aperture forming mechanism according to claim 4 , wherein the dispenser package has at least two compartments, each of said at least two compartments capable of being opened by peeling open a first peelably sealed, creased or pleated portion and a second peelably sealed, creased or pleated portion.
8 . An aperture forming mechanism according to claim 7 , wherein a dividing seal separates different compartments of the dispenser package.
9 . An aperture forming mechanism for a dispenser package having a first member and a second member, wherein said first member and said second member are sealed together in a first area by base seals and in a second area by a peelable seal, and wherein at least one of said first and second members comprises at least one flap, wherein said flap is configured such that pulling said flap peels said first member apart from said second member in the second area at said peelable seal.
10 . An aperture forming mechanism according to claim 9 , wherein each of said first and second members comprises a flap, and wherein said flaps are configured such that pulling the flap of said first member away from the flap of said second member peels said first member apart from said second member in the second area at said peelable seal.
11 . An aperture forming mechanism according to claim 9 , wherein at least one unsealed flap portion and the second area comprising said peelable seal are located at a corner of the dispenser package.Join the waitlist — get patent alerts
