Abstract

A bathtub, comprising a rectangular bathtub body with a molded lining of the same dimensions as the interior surfaces of the bathtub. The lining is made of a flexible, polymeric material with a number of raised ribs separated by depressed channels running the longitudinal axis of the bathtub body, along the bottom and vertically up the interior back surface. The raised ribs are filled with a flexible cellular foam material and the lining attached to the interior of the bathtub body with a water-proof seal.

We claim:  
     
         1 . A bathtub, comprising: 
 a rectangular bathtub body having means for filling with water and means for draining water located at one end of the bathtub body;    a molded lining of the same dimensions as the interior surfaces of the bathtub, said lining made of a flexible, polymeric material;    said molded lining comprising a plurality of raised ribs separated by depressed channels, said ribs and channels running parallel to the longitudinal axis of the bathtub body, along the bottom and vertically up the interior surface opposite the means for filling with water and means for draining water;    said raised ribs filled with a flexible cellular foam material; and    means for attaching said molded lining to the interior of the bathtub body with a water-proof seal.
