Device for packing flat articles in transport containers, in particular folded-flat folding boxes in casing cartons

Abstract

A device for packing flat articles in transport containers includes a feeder for feeding the flat articles in imbricated form. A conveyor disposed downstream of the feeder, in a transport direction of the articles, has an at least approximately vertically extending end for discharging the articles into the transport containers at a filling location. A conveying device is provided for feeding the transport containers to the filling location in a conveying direction rectilinearly counter to the transport direction of the articles. Equipment is provided for further conveying the transport containers at the filling location.

We claim:  
     
         1 . A device for packing flat articles in transport containers, comprising: 
 a feeder for feeding the flat articles in imbricated form;    a conveyor disposed downstream of said feeder in a transport direction of the flat articles, said conveyor having an at least approximately vertically extending end for discharging the flat articles into the transport containers at a filling location;    a conveying device for feeding the transport containers to said filling location in a conveying direction rectilinearly counter to said transport direction of the flat articles; and    equipment for further conveying the transport containers at the filling location.    
     
     
         2 . The packing device according to  claim 1 , wherein said conveyor for feeding the transport containers is a belt conveyor for revolving in a conveying plane, and two rows of guide rollers are disposed a slight spaced distance above said conveying plane, each of said guide rollers being freely rotatably mounted with a rotational axis inclined in said conveying direction of the transport containers at an acute angle to the vertical.  
     
     
         3 . The packing device according to  claim 1 , including longitudinal carriers for carrying said guide rollers, said longitudinal carriers being adjustable transversely to said conveying direction of the transport containers.  
     
     
         4 . The packing device according to  claim 1 , wherein said conveying device for feeding the transport containers has an electrically operated, controllable servomotor drive.  
     
     
         5 . The packing device according to  claim 1 , wherein the flat articles are folded-flat folding boxes, and the transport containers are casing cartons.
