Claims
exact text as granted — not AI-modifiedWe claim:
1 . A fluid comprising
a collected blood or blood component removed from a donor/patient; and a decontamination treatment solution wherein the decontamination treatment solution further comprises:
a nutrient;
an endogenous alloxazine;
a buffer; and
an anticoagulant
wherein the decontamination treatment solution is used in the decontamination treatment of the collected blood or blood components.
2 . The fluid of claim 1 wherein the nutrient comprises glucose.
3 . The fluid of claim 2 wherein the glucose is in a concentration between 33-52 mM.
4 . The fluid of claim 1 wherein the buffer comprises a bicarbonate.
5 . The fluid of claim 4 wherein the bicarbonate is in a concentration between 63-95 mM.
6 . The fluid of claim 1 wherein the endogenous alloxazine comprises 7,8-dimethyl-10-ribityl isoalloxazine.
7 . The fluid of claim 6 wherein the 7, 8-dimethyl-10-ribytl isoalloxazine is in a concentration of approximately 8-50 μM.
8 . The fluid of claim 1 wherein the anticoagulant comprises citrate.
9 . The fluid of claim 8 wherein the citrate is in a concentration between 5.1-8.8 mM.
10 . A bag containing the fluid of claim 1 .
11 . A bag containing the fluid of claim 6 .
12 . The fluid of claim 1 wherein the collected blood or blood component comprises platelets.
13 . The fluid of claim 1 wherein the collected blood or blood component comprises platelets with about 40% retained plasma.
14 . The fluid of claim 1 wherein the decontamination treatment solution is further used for storing the collected blood or blood components after the decontamination treatment.
15 . The fluid of claim 12 wherein the decontamination treatment solution is further used for storing the platelets after the decontamination treatment.Join the waitlist — get patent alerts
