Abstract

The invention relates to a device for automatically changing threadlike materials in a thread processing machine, comprising connecting means to connect a first thread ( 100 ) being guided from a supply to said thread processing machine, with a second thread ( 200 ) and cutting means ( 127 ) to cut said first thread through between the connecting point of the threads and the supply. The problem of the present device is, that the thread ( 100, 200 ) does not stay in a position to be selected after it has been cut through and clamped. Therefore the device ( 1 ) according to the invention is provided for keeping the first thread ( 100 ), originating from the supply, within reach of the connecting means ( 8, 9 ) after it has been cut through, in order to keep said first thread ( 100 ) in a position.

Claims

exact text as granted — not AI-modified

         2 .- Device according to claim 1 , characterized in that the device ( 1 ) comprises clamping and cutting means ( 10 , 11 ) which are situated on the side of the thread processing machine with respect to the connecting means ( 8 , 9 ) and are movable to and fro in the direction of the threads ( 100 , 200 ), in order to cut off said first thread ( 100 ) between the supply and the connecting point.

         3 .- Device according to any of the preceding claims, characterized in that said first ( 100 ) and second thread ( 200 ) are situated one above the other.

         4 .- Device according to any of the preceding claims, characterized in that the device ( 1 ) comprises at least two connecting means ( 8 , 9 ) to be able to carry out several changes of thread at the same time.

         5 .- Device according to any of the preceding claims, characterized in that the device comprises guiding means ( 6 ,  7 ) for the threads ( 100 ),  200 ) and a fixed push body ( 4 ) so that, by moving the guiding means ( 6 ,  7 ), the threads ( 100 ,  200 ) may be pushed against the push body ( 4 ) into the clamping means ( 125 ) and/or the cutting means ( 127 ).

         6 .- Device according to any of the preceding claims, characterized in that the device ( 1 ) comprises upper and lower guiding means ( 6 , 7 ) for at least one thread ( 100 , 200 ) so that the push body ( 4 ) may be situated between the threads ( 100 , 200 ) running one above the other through these guiding means ( 6 , 7 ), and so that each upper thread ( 100 , 200 ) may be pushed against the upper push side ( 4 a ) by moving the upper guiding means ( 6 ), and each lower thread ( 100 , 200 ) may be pushed against the lower push side ( 4 b ) by moving the lower guiding means ( 7 ) in order to push said threads into the upper and lower clamping and cutting means ( 10 , 11 ) respectively.

         7 .- Device according to any of the preceding claims, characterized in that the device ( 1 ) is provided for first clamping a thread ( 100 , 200 ) to be cut through in said clamping means ( 125 ) and subsequently cutting it through by means of said cutting means ( 127 ).

         8 .- Device according to any of the preceding claims, characterized in that the device ( 1 ) comprises one groove ( 122 ) per thread ( 100 ,  200 ) in which this thread ( 100 ,  200 ) extends towards a first sliding element ( 123 ) with openings ( 126 ) for clamping the thread ( 100 ,  200 ) and a second sliding element ( 124 ) with knife-like teeth ( 129 ) for cutting through the thread ( 100 ,  200 ).

         9 .- Device according to any of the preceding claims, characterized in that the device ( 1 ) comprises one drive for the connecting means ( 8 , 9 ) of several devices situated one beside the other and/or one drive for carrying out the cutting and clamping movements of the upper cutting and clamping means ( 10 ) and one drive for carrying out the cutting and clamping movements of the lower cutting and clamping means ( 11 ) and/or one drive for moving to and fro the cutting and clamping means ( 10 , 11 ).

         10 .- Device according to any of the preceding claims, characterized in that at least two devices ( 1 ) are situated one above the other;

         11 .- Device according to any of the preceding claims, characterized in that said threadlike materials are metal wires or textile threads.

         12 .- Device according to any of the preceding claims, characterized in that the device comprises a thread holding system ( 2   b,    3   a ) that has been provided for clamping a first series of threads ( 100 ,  200 ), a thread guiding system ( 2   a,    3   b ) that is provided for guiding towards the machine a second series of threads ( 100 ,  200 ), where the thread holding system ( 2   b,    3   a ) and the thread guiding system ( 2   a,    3   b )
 are facing each other in a hinged manner and comprise co-operating parts of connecting means ( 8 , 9 ), so that in moving towards each other the thread holding system ( 2 b, 3 a ) and the thread guiding system ( 2 a, 3 b ) small connecting chambers ( 23 ) are formed; each comprising clamping and cutting means ( 10 , 11 ); are mounted on a base ( 5 ), slidable, facing the push body ( 4 ), so that the thread guiding system ( 2 b, 3 a ) and the thread holding system ( 2 a, 3 b ) may be brought towards each other when these systems are situated between the supply and the push body ( 4 ) and so that, when these systems are situated between the thread connecting means ( 8 , 9 ) and the push body ( 4 ), the systems may be moved towards each other, so that the threads ( 100 , 200 ) may be pushed against the upper ( 4 a ) and lower push side ( 4 b ) of the push body ( 4 ) and into the upper and lower clamping and cutting means ( 10 , 11 ) and may be clamped or may be clamped and cut through.
