Space saving, pivotal, transportable, work table/bench and supports
Abstract
This is space saving, pivotal, transportable, work table/bench consisting of a more or less rectangular shaped top secured to a wall or other vertical support via the upper pivotal attachment point of the two individual connection devices, of which each have two pivotal attachment points allowing them to be equally spaced and attached toward opposite ends on one of the long sides of the of table/bench top utilizing the upper most pivotal connection point while the linear top piece of the a-frame type support leg sets are attached to the bottom or lower pivotal connection points, thus allowing the supports to be pivoted to a horizontal position for use while the table/bench top is pivoted to a vertically or stored position, the supports can then pivoted to a horizontal position enabling the table/bench top to rest on them for use at that location or the table/bench top and/or the supports can separated from the pivotal connection and taken individually or as a unit to another location for use then upon completion be returned to the connection point and again secured for use at the original attachment location or pivoted to a vertical position for storage.
Claims
exact text as granted — not AI-modified1 . A space saving, pivotal, transportable work table/bench utilizing two individual a-frame type supports that work in conjunction with or separately from the table
(a) A space saving, pivotal, transportable work table/bench comprised of a tabletop which includes a topside, bottom side and four perimeter edges, two being long and two being shorter thus forming a more or less rectangular shape. (b) A space saving, pivotal, transportable work table/bench comprised of a rectangular table top utilizing two special pivotal attachments, each being constructed using a common back plate and having two individual pivotal connection points one located slightly above and parallel to the other thus making this one working piece of the total. (c) A space saving, pivotal, transportable work table/bench having two special pivotal attachments, as referenced in each having two individual pivotal points, reference (b) with removable hinge pins therefore allowing the table/bench top and or the individual a-frame type supports to be easily taken to a different location for use, then returned and reattached to the special pivotal attachment (d) A space saving, pivotal, transportable work table/bench having two pivotal connections, as described in (b), utilizing the upper most pivotal point of each pivotal connection and attached in a location that is to be toward each end of one of the long perimeter edges, that will hereafter be referred to a the back edge; (e) A space saving, pivotal, transportable work table/bench attached to a wall of other vertical support, via the pivotal connection creating a permanent pivotal point that enables the table/bench top to be pivoted to a horizontal position for use when resting on the a-frame type supports, as described in (f), pivoted to a vertical position for storage or by removing the hinge pivot pin allowing the top to be transported for use in any desired location; (f) A space saving, pivotal, transportable work table/bench utilizing two a-frame type supports as referenced in (e) which can be used as work supports either individually, in pairs, or as the supports for the table/bench top;
2 . A space saving, pivotal, transportable work table/bench as ( 1 ) having two a-frame type supports, as referenced in (e), connected at one end to the second and lowest hinge pivotal point on the pivotal connection allowing each to pivot individually to a vertical position and secured to the vertically stored table/bench top, pivot to a horizontal position with leg sets resting securely on the floor for use as a work support either individually our in pairs, or used as a support for the table/bench top when the table/bench top is pivoted to a horizontal allowed to rest on the top of the two a-frame type supports for use.
3 . A space saving, pivotal, transportable work table/bench of being comprised as described can be used in the location where the pivotal connections are attached to the wall or when the hinge pins are removed from the pivot point of the connection between the table/bench top and the pivotal connection the top can be transported and used at another location for use.
4 . A space saving, pivotal, transportable, work table/bench of claim ( 1 ) can be pivoted to a vertical position for storage in that location.
5 . The a-frame type supports of claim ( 1 ) are attached to the second and lower pivot point of the pivotal connection allowing each of the supports to pivot individually to vertical position against the bottom side of the table/bench top and there secured for storage.
6 . The a-frame type supports of claim ( 1 ) are comprised of a linear top piece and two individual legs sets that are located toward opposite ends of the linear top piece, each set being comprised of two legs that are in close proximity to one another a the top and having a cross member installed between the legs toward the opposite end causing them to be spread apart a the bottom resulting in a configuration which somewhat resembles the letter “A”;
7 . The a-frame type supports of claim ( 1 ) having two individual legs set, each being attached to the linear top piece via an independent hinge allowing the leg sets to pivot to a vertical position to form the support when pivoted to a horizontal position or to pivot to a parallel condition against the bottom side of the linear tip piece when the entire support is pivoted vertically and secured to the bottom of the table/bench top for storage;
8 . The a-frame type supports of claim ( 1 ) being attached to the second and lower pivot point of the pivotal connections makes it possible for the a-frame type supports to pivot from the vertically storage position to a horizontal position for use either singly or in pairs;
9 . The a-frame type supports of claim ( 1 ) utilizes two (2) each individual leg sets that are attached to the bottom side of the linear top piece via independent hinges ( 10 ) allowing them to pivot as needed when the support are either in the horizontal position for use or in the vertical position for storage.
10 . The a-frame type supports of claim ( 1 ) utilize a locking device ( 5 ) on one of the leg sets and a linkage device ( 4 ) between the two leg sets to assure both legs sets remain locked in the upright position until released
11 . The a-frame type supports of claim ( 1 ) as with the table/bench top, can be moved and used at another location by removing the hinge pivot pin from its' pivotal connection point and transported elsewhere for use either with the table/bench top or individually.Join the waitlist — get patent alerts
