Abstract

The present invention generally relates to small arms technology and more particularly, is concerned with hunting and sporting cartridges having plastic cases. The objective of the invention is increasing of the ballistic data and structural strength of the product with low price of its manufacturing. This problem is solved by supplying of the plastic cartridge case in the shape of thin-walled cup of cylindrical external surface and internal surface comprising three conical portions of length and taper increasing from the bottom having the opening for the primer with a dam-diaphragm separating the cartridge case part and the part for the primer installation. The dam-diaphragm thickness is selected within the range of 0,2 - 0,5 mm. The device for manufacturing of the plastic cartridge case contains a mold performed of a matrix forming the external surface of the cartridge case, a halfmatrix with conical casting opening which forms the cup bottom and a punch forming the internal surface of the cartridge case. On the halfmatrix is a cylindrical hollow pin forming a closed primer opening. The cylindrical hollow pin together with the punch form a ring sprue.

Claims

exact text as granted — not AI-modified
1 . A plastic cartridge case, performed in a shape of a thin-walled cup having a cylindrical external surface and an internal surface performed of three conical portions of length and a taper increasing from a bottom with an opening for a primer, characterized that comprising a dam-diaphragm of 0,2-0,5 mm thickness separating a cartridge case part and a part for the primer installation.

2 . A device for a plastic cartridge case manufacturing, comprising a mold performed of a matrix forming an external surface of the cartridge case, a half matrix with a conical casting opening which forms a cup bottom and a punch forming an internal surface of cartridge case, characterized that a hollow pin is carried out on the half matrix, forming a closed primer opening and, together with the punch forming a ring sprue.
