Coupling keel for surfboards and the like

Abstract

This present utility patent concerns a system of coupling keel for surfboards, which is comprised by keel 1 and lodging 2 with vertical crack 3 , retention layer 4 , branches 5 , lower ended by a closing layer 6 and higher opening 7 , by which each tongue-like part 8 of the keel 1 penetrates, and fastening screw 9 of the keel 1 , whose contact edge will be lodged in the screw thread 10 of each tongue-like part. Each lodging is provided with saw-edged internal surface 11 , in the vertical crack 3 , and each keel 1 , with tongue-like parts 8 , with external face 12 corresponding to the same saw-edged surface, which couple to preserve the original arrangement designed by the manufacturer, and lodgings with external grooves 13 , which reduces the possibility of pulling. The keel is provided with the insertion of a little radius or rounded surface 14 between each of the longitudinal faces of the tongue-like parts, wherever it is possible, and the base of the keels, thereby dissipating the accumulation of tension generated and considerably reducing the occurrence of cracks and consequent breaks in this area.

1 ) “COUPLING KEEL FOR SURFBOARDS AND THE LIKE”, system comprised by keel  1  and lodging  2  having the following features: vertical crack  3 , retention layer  4 , branches  5 , lower ended by a closing layer  6 , and higher opening  7 , by which the tongue-like part  8  of the keel  1  penetrates, and fastening screw  9 , whose contact edge will be lodged in the screw thread  10  of each tongue-like part  8 , featured by having the lodging received the saw-edged surface  11  in the internal face opposed to that of penetration of the fastening screw  9  of the keel  1  in the vertical crack  3 , as well as this saw-edged surface  11  is added with the corresponding external face  12  of each tongue-like part  8  of the keel  1 , so that they may couple and, thus, prevent that the rotation movement of the screw, at the fastening moment, dislocates the keel towards the longitudinal direction. Therefore, the original arrangement designed by the manufacturer is preserved.  
     
     
         2 ) “COUPLING KEEL FOR SURFBOARDS AND THE LIKE”, according to the  claim 1 , furthermore featured by being each lodging provided with external grooves  13  which increase the adherence between the lodging and the surfboard, and reduce the possibility of pulling.  
     
     
         3 ) “COUPLING KEEL FOR SURFBOARDS AND THE LIKE”, according to the  claim 1 , furthermore featured by the insertion of a little radius or rounded surface between each of the faces of the tongue-like parts, wherever it is possible, and the base of the keels, thereby dissipating the accumulation of tension generated and considerably reducing the occurrence of cracks and consequent breaks in this area.
