Transverse joint protector or (Quick mat)
Abstract
The product being sent for patent approval would be used for transitioning traffic on and off of newly paved roads. It would also be used temporarily on milling projects as well as for paving. When milling and or paving is in the process there is typically a joint to contend with. This product would address the problem on all levels. There is a need for various thickness and sizes, because all dimensions could change. Material used to make the Transverse Joint Mats could be made of a rubber content or a rubber/styrofoam mixture. The Transverse Joint Mat is placed at the end of a days paving to secure the joint. It is also placed at a milled joint prior to paving.
