Interchangeable cabinetware

Abstract

Cabinetware having interchangeable features to facilitate partially or completely changing the appearance of the cabinets. The interchangeable features may include interchangeable cabinet doors, drawer fronts, toe kick plates, crown molding, decorative end panels, embellishments, and finished end panels used either alone or in combination with each other.

Having described my invention with the particularity set forth above, I claim:  
     
         1 . Interchangeable cabinetware comprising: 
 a base cabinet comprising a toe space;    a plate support carried by said base cabinet in said toe space;    an interchangeable toe kick plate; and    a toe kick assembly for removably mounting said interchangeable toe kick plate on said plate support.    
     
     
         2 . The interchangeable cabinetware of  claim 1  wherein said toe kick assembly comprises at least two insertion pegs extending from said interchangeable toe kick plate and at least two peg openings provided in said plate support for removably receiving said at least two insertion pegs, respectively.  
     
     
         3 . The interchangeable cabinetware of  claim 1  further comprising at least one interchangeable cabinet door removably mounted on said base cabinet above said toe space.  
     
     
         4 . The interchangeable cabinetware of  claim 1  further comprising at least one drawer slidably engaging said base cabinet above said toe space, an interchangeable drawer front, and a drawer front assembly for removably mounting said interchangeable drawer front on said drawer.  
     
     
         5 . The interchangeable cabinetware of  claim 4  wherein said drawer front assembly comprises a fixed runner plate having a first pair of slide runners carried by said drawer and a drawer front runner plate having a second pair of slide runners carried by said interchangeable drawer front, and wherein said interchangeable drawer front is removably mounted on said drawer by slidably engaging said first pair of slide runners with said second pair of slide runners.  
     
     
         6 . The interchangeable cabinetwear of  claim 1  further comprising a top cabinet disposed above said base cabinet, an interchangeable crown molding strip and a crown molding assembly for removably mounting said interchangeable crown molding strip on said top cabinet.  
     
     
         7 . The interchangeable cabinetwear of  claim 6  wherein said crown molding assembly comprises a strip support having a plurality of peg openings carried by said top cabinet and a plurality of insertion pegs carried by said interchangeable crown molding strip for removable insertion in said plurality of peg openings, respectively.  
     
     
         8 . The interchangeable cabinetwear of  claim 6  further comprising an interchangeable decorative embellishment removably carried by said interchangeable crown molding strip.  
     
     
         9 . The interchangeable cabinetware of  claim 1  further comprising a drawer slidably engaging said base cabinet and an interchangeable false drawer front for removable attachment to said drawer.  
     
     
         10 . The interchangeable cabinetwear of  claim 6  further comprising an interchangeable decorative end panel and a decorative end panel assembly for removably attaching said interchangeable decorative end panel to said top cabinet.  
     
     
         11 . The interchangeable cabinetwear of  claim 10  wherein said decorative end panel assembly comprises a plurality of panel attachment pegs carried by said interchangeable decorative end panel and a plurality of cams carried by said top cabinet for removably engaging said plurality of panel attachment pegs, respectively.  
     
     
         12 . The interchangeable cabinetwear of  claim 6  further comprising an interchangeable finished end panel and a finished end panel assembly for removably mounting said interchangeable finished end panel on said top cabinet.  
     
     
         13 . Interchangeable cabinetware comprising: 
 a base cabinet;    at least one drawer slidably extendible from said base cabinet;    an interchangeable drawer front; and    a drawer front assembly for removably mounting said interchangeable drawer front on said at least one drawer.    
     
     
         14 . The interchangeable cabinetwear of  claim 13  wherein said drawer front assembly comprises a fixed runner plate having a first pair of slide runners carried by said at least one drawer and a drawer front runner plate having a second pair of slide runners carried by said interchangeable drawer front, and wherein said interchangeable drawer front is removably mounted on said at least one drawer by slidably engaging said first pair of slide runners with said second pair of slide runners.  
     
     
         15 . The interchangeable cabinetwear of  claim 13  further comprising at least one interchangeable cabinet door removably mounted on said base cabinet.  
     
     
         16 . The interchangeable cabinetwear of  claim 15  wherein said drawer front assembly comprises a fixed runner plate having a first pair of slide runners carried by said at least one drawer and a drawer front runner plate having a second pair of slide runners carried by said interchangeable drawer front, and wherein said interchangeable drawer front is removably mounted on said at least one drawer by slidably engaging said first pair of slide runners with said second pair of slide runners.  
     
     
         17 . Interchangeable cabinetware comprising: 
 an upper cabinet;    a strip support carried by said upper cabinet;    an interchangeable crown molding strip; and    a crown molding assembly for removably mounting said interchangeable crown molding strip on said strip support.    
     
     
         18 . The interchangeable cabinetware of  claim 17  further comprising at least one interchangeable cabinet door removably mounted on said upper cabinet.  
     
     
         19 . The interchangeable cabinetware of  claim 17  wherein said crown molding assembly comprises at least two insertion pegs extending from said interchangeable crown molding strip and at least two peg openings provided in said strip support for removably receiving said at least two insertion pegs, respectively.  
     
     
         20 . The interchangeable cabinetware of  claim 17  further comprising an interchangeable decorative embellishment having a decorative body removably carried by said interchangeable crown molding strip.  
     
     
         21 . Interchangeable cabinetware comprising: 
 an upper cabinet having a side panel;    an interchangeable decorative end panel; and    a decorative end panel assembly for removably attaching said interchangeable decorative end panel to said side panel.    
     
     
         22 . The interchangeable cabinetwear of  claim 21  wherein said decorative end panel assembly comprises a plurality of panel attachment pegs carried by said interchangeable decorative end panel and a plurality of cams carried by said side panel for removably engaging said plurality of panel attachment pegs, respectively.  
     
     
         23 . Interchangeable cabinetware comprising: 
 an upper cabinet having a side panel;    an interchangeable finished end panel; and    a finished end panel assembly for removably attaching said interchangeable finished end panel to said side panel.    
     
     
         24 . The interchangeable cabinetwear of  claim 23  wherein said finished end panel assembly comprises an inset flange carried by said side panel and an insertion flange carried by said interchangeable finished end panel for removably engaging said inset flange.  
     
     
         25 . Interchangeable cabinetwear comprising: 
 a cabinet shell having a shell interior; and    a cabinet insert for removable insertion in said shell interior, said cabinet insert comprising a plurality of plate slots.    
     
     
         26 . The interchangeable cabinetwear of  claim 25  further comprising a cabinet space provided in said cabinet insert.  
     
     
         27 . Interchangeable cabinetwear comprising: 
 a base cabinet;    a plurality of drawer mounting members carried by said base cabinet; and    at least one interchangeable false drawer front removably engaging said plurality of drawer mounting members.
