Abstract

Left ventricular dysfunction is treated by a process, comprising: administering to a subject suffering from left ventricular remodeling a therapeutically effective amount of 5,6-dihydroxy-2-methylaminotetralin, or 5,6-diisobutyroyl-oxy-2-methyl-aminotetralin, or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof in combination with an angiotensin-converting enzyme inhibitor.

The use of 5,6-dihydroxy-2-methylaminotetralin, or 5,6-diisobutyroyloxy-2-methyl-aminotetralin, or a pharmaceutically acceptable salt thereof in combination with an angiotensin-converting enzyme inhibitor for the preparation of a medicament for treating left ventricular dysfunction or remodeling.  
     
     
         2 . The use according to  claim 1  wherein said left ventricular remodeling is a consequence of myocardial infarction.  
     
     
         3 . The use according to  claim 1  wherein the angiotensin converting enzyme inhibitor is delapril.
