Abstract
A multiple clip hair fastener with a plurality of claw clips integrally attached to the next. The clips are fastened to separate sections of hair while each clip remains aligned and integrally attached.
Claims
exact text as granted — not AI-modifiedIn the claims:
1 . A multiple clip hair fastener comprising:
a plurality of claw clips integrally attached by attaching means to the next; said claw clips comprising: a pair of jaws having a mutual pivotal connection, each of said jaws having an edge portion spaced from said pivotal connection, said edge portion being formed with mutually engaging gripping teeth; said edge portion and said gripping teeth being bent in a concave since in a direction away from said pivotal connection; said clips further comprise spring means which urges said edge portions of said jaws together and said gripping teeth into mutual engagement; said clips further comprise a pair of edge portions disposed on the side of said spring means remote from said claw; whereby, at least one said edge portions is pressed and said jaws are opened against a force exerted by said spring means such that sections of hair of said human being may be fastened by each clip with said teeth grasping said hair when said jaws are closed and said claw clips remain integrally attached.
2 . The multiple clip hair fastener of claim 1 wherein said claw clips are removably attached by attaching means.
3 . The multiple clip hair fastener of claim 1 wherein said claw clips are attached by hinges.
4 . The multiple clip hair fastener of claim 1 wherein said claw clips are attached by a ball-and-socket joint.
5 . A multiple clip hair fastener comprising:
three or more claw clips integrally attached by attaching means to the next by a spacer band between each said claw clips; said claw clips and said spacer bands are aligned longitudinally, said claw clips comprising: a pair of jaws having a mutual pivotal connection, each of said jaws having an edge portion spaced from said pivotal connection, said edge portion being formed with mutually engaging gripping teeth; said edge portion and said gripping teeth being bent in a concave since in a direction away from said pivotal connection; said clips further comprise spring means which urges said edge portions of said jaws together and said gripping teeth into mutual engagement; said clips further comprise a pair of edge portions disposed on the side of said spring means remote from said claw; whereby, at least one said edge portions is pressed and said jaws are opened against a force exerted by said spring means such that sections of hair of said human being may be fastened by each clip with said teeth grasping said hair when said jaws are closed and said claw clips stay in alignment while holding a plurality of hair sections.
6 . The multiple clip hair fastener of claim 5 wherein each said spacer bands are removably attached by attaching means.
7 . The multiple clip hair fastener of claim 5 wherein each said spacer band is attached to each said claw clips by ball-and-socket joint.
8 . The multiple clip hair fastener of claim 5 wherein each said spacer is attached to each said claw clips by a hinge.
9 . The multiple clip hair fastener of claim 5 wherein each said spacer is made of a rigid material.
10 . A method of securing and styling hair comprising: selecting a hair fastening band comprising: a plurality of claw clips integrally attached;
clamping each said claw clip to a section of hair until all said claw clips are secured to a section of hair.Join the waitlist — get patent alerts
