Abstract
The invention is directed towards gene expression characteristic for cancer, in particular brain cancers such as glioblastoma. Compositions, methods and kits encompassing such therein.

34 . The kit of claim 33 , further comprising a second probe that hybridizes to a target under stringent conditions, wherein said target is selected from the group consisting of SEQ ID NO: 1, SEQ ID NO: 2, SEQ ID NO: 3, SEQ ID NO: 4, SEQ ID NO: 5, SEQ ID NO: 6, SEQ
ID NO: 7, SEQ ID NO: 8, and SEQ ID: 9, or complements thereof.
35 . A kit of claim 34 , further comprising suitable reaction buffer components.
36 . A kit of claim 35 , wherein said kit is adapted for use in PCR amplification of the specific target.
37 . A kit as in claim 35 , wherein said kit is adapted for use in in situ hybridization.
A kit of claim 35 , wherein said kit is adapted for use in RNase protection assay.

A DNA chip comprising nucleotide sequences capable of hybridizing to one or more members of a panel of DNA sequences selected from the group consisting of SEQ ID NO: 1, SEQ ID NO: 2, SEQ ID NO: 3, SEQ ID NO: 4, SEQ ID NO: 5, SEQ ID NO: 6, SEQ ID NO: 7, SEQ ID NO: 8, and SEQ ID NO: 9, or complements thereof.
