Abstract

A swiveling chair is described. The swiveling chair has a back portion, a seat portion attached to the back portion, a swiveling component attached to the seat portion, a leg support attachment attached to the swiveling component, wherein the leg support attachment has at least three leg openings, and at least three chair legs attached to the leg support attachment, wherein the at least three legs attach to the leg support attachment at the at least three leg openings and wherein the at least three legs attach at an angle from a perpendicular line to the leg support attachment to a center line in each of the at least three legs and wherein the angle is between 35 and 55 degrees.

Claims

exact text as granted — not AI-modified
1 . A swiveling chair comprising:
a back portion; a seat portion attached to the back portion; a swiveling component attached to the seat portion; a leg support attachment attached to the swiveling component, wherein the leg support attachment has at least three leg openings; and at least three chair legs attached to the leg support attachment, wherein the at least three legs attach to the leg support attachment at the at least three leg openings and wherein the at least three legs attach at an angle from a perpendicular line to the leg support attachment to a center line in each of the at least three legs and wherein the angle is between 35 and 55 degrees.

2 . The chair of claim 1 wherein the leg support attachment includes a stabilizing mechanism that impedes the chair from swiveling when needed.

3 . The chair of claim 1 wherein the at least three leg openings include at least one stabilizing screw in each leg opening to keep each of the at least three legs in place.

4 . The chair of claim 1 wherein the leg support attachment is wood.

5 . The chair of claim 1 wherein the leg support attachment is metal.

6 . The chair of claim 1 wherein the leg support attachment is a composite material.

7 . The chair of claim 1 wherein the leg support attachment has at least two members joined to each other.

8 . The chair of claim 7 wherein the at least two members are parallel to each other.

9 . The chair of claim 7 wherein the at least two members are perpendicular to each other.

10 . The chair of claim 7 wherein the at least two members are opposite each other and include at least one cross member that joins the at least two members.

11 . The chair of claim 1 wherein the leg support attachment includes three members and are formed together in a triangular fashion.

12 . The chair of claim 1 wherein the angle is approximately 45 degrees.

         13 . A swiveling chair comprising:
a seat portion; a swiveling component attached to the seat portion; a leg support attachment attached to the swiveling component, wherein the leg support attachment has at least one front member and at least one back member, wherein the leg support attachment receives at least one chair leg attached to the leg support attachment, wherein the leg attaches at an angle from a perpendicular line to the leg support attachment to a center line in the leg and wherein the angle is between 40 and 50 degrees.

14 . The chair of claim 12 wherein the leg support attachment includes a stabilizing mechanism that impedes the chair from swiveling when the stabilizing mechanism is fully engaged.

15 . The chair of claim 13 wherein the back leg attachment is secured on a back portion so that the seat portion is independently movable with regard to the leg support attachment and the attached back portion.

16 . The chair of claim 15 wherein the back portion extends to the ground to be a rear base support of the chair, wherein no chair leg is needed for the rear base support.

17 . The chair of claim 16 wherein the front member has at least one opening to receive the at least one chair leg.

18 . The chair of claim 13 wherein the front and back members are connected to each other.

19 . The chair of claim 13 wherein the front and back members are in generally semi-circular shapes.

20 . The chair of claim 13 wherein the angle is approximately 45 degrees.

         21 . A swiveling chair comprising:
a back portion; a seat portion; a swiveling base attached to the seat portion; and a leg support attachment attached to the swiveling base and the back portion so that the seat portion can rotate independently without moving the back portion, the leg support attachment having at least one front member and one back member, the front member having at least one leg attached thereto, the back member having a connection to the back portion, wherein the leg attaches at an angle from a perpendicular line to the leg support attachment to a center line in the leg and wherein the angle is at approximately 45 degrees.
