Claims
Abstract
An ozone storage apparatus is disclosed for storing ozone efficiently. A process for efficient water treatment is also disclosed. The ozone storage container has a generally U-shape and is filled with an absorbent. The ozone is supplied and discharged from the same opening. The temperature of the absorbent is kept between 0° C. and −30° C. The generated ozone from an ozone generating means is cooled by a cooling device and is supplied to a storage device.

1 . A method of storing ozone comprising the steps of:
cooling the ozone; and supplying the ozone at a pressure of 1-2 atm through a first opening to a silica gel that is cooled to between 0° C. and −30° C. for storing the ozone; and using oxygen as a purge gas for the stored ozone including supplying oxygen to a second opening at a pressure of 1-2 atm thereby causing the stored ozone to pass through the first opening.
2 . A method of storing ozone according to claim 1 , wherein the oxygen used as the purge gas is compressed and supplied at 1-2 atm.
3 . An ozone storage apparatus comprising:
a container having a surface that has a passivity for ozone, said container having two openings and a partition dividing an inside of said container into two sections, said two sections of said container being filled with an absorbent; a first opening for introducing an ozone containing gas into said container so as to allow ozone to be absorbed by the absorbent; and a second opening for introducing oxygen into said container so as to discharge ozone from said first opening.
4 . An ozone storage apparatus comprising:
a U-shaped container having a surface that has a passivity for ozone, said container having openings in an upper part of said container and a partition dividing an inside of said container into two sections, said two sections of said container being filled with an absorbent; and at least one of the openings allowing ozone to be introduced into said container so as to be absorbed by said absorbent.
5 . An ozone storage apparatus comprising:
a plurality of U-shaped containers each containing an absorbent for storing ozone; wherein said plurality of U-shaped containers are connected in a parallel connection so as to introduce the ozone continuously into said plurality of U-shaped containers, and wherein each of said plurality of U-shaped containers has two openings and a partition dividing an inside of said container into two sections, a first opening for introducing an ozone containing gas into said container so as to allow ozone to be absorbed by the absorbent, and a second opening for introducing oxygen into said container so as to discharge ozone from said first opening.Join the waitlist — get patent alerts
