Abstract

Disclosed is a non-human mammal comprising a cell that comprises an expression vector containing a promoter and a PTTG carboxy-terminal-related DNA.

Claims

exact text as granted — not AI-modified
We claim:

1 . A non-human mammal, comprising a cell that comprises an expression vector, said vector comprising a promoter and a PTTG carboxy-terminal-related DNA operatively linked to the promoter in a transcriptional unit, the PTTG carboxy-terminal-related DNA encoding a PTTG carboxy-terminal peptide, said peptide selected from the group consisting of:
 (A) a PTTG peptide having an amino acid sequence consisting of SEQ ID NO:16; and (B) a peptide fragment of (A) that comprises at least 15 contiguous amino acid residues of SEQ ID NO:16 that includes a proline-rich region of SEQ ID NO:16.

2 . The non-human mammal of claim 1 , wherein the PTTG carboxy-terminal-related DNA encoding a PTTG carboxy-terminal peptide has a nucleotide sequence consisting of:
 (A) SEQ ID NO:18; (B) a degenerate coding sequence of (A) (C) a sequence complementary to (A) or (B); or (C) a polynucleotide fragment of (A), (B), or (C) that comprises a coding sequence of a proline-rich region of SEQ ID NO:16 or a degenerate sequence, or a complementary sequence.

3 . The non-human mammal of claim 2 , wherein the PTTG carboxy-terminal-related DNA is linked to the promoter in a sense orientation, and wherein the cell expresses the PTTG carboxy-terminal peptide.

4 . The non-human mammal of claim 2 , wherein the PTTG carboxy-terminal-related DNA is linked to the promoter in an antisense orientation.

         5 . The non-human mammal of claim 1 , wherein the non-human mammal is a non-human primate, a rat, a mouse, a rabbit, a guinea pig, a hamster, a bovine, a porcine, an ovine, an equine, a canine, a feline, or a pachyderm.
