Abstract

A treadmill includes an endless belt disposed in a base, a motor coupled to the endless belt for driving the endless belt and having a spindle, and a fan device secured to the spindle for being driven by the motor and having a number of blades for drawing air through the motor to dissipate a heat generated by the motor and for preventing the motor from being over-heated and damaged, and for increasing the working life of the motor. A wheel is secured to the spindle and secured to the fan device device for allowing the fan device to be driven by the motor via the wheel.

Claims

exact text as granted — not AI-modified
I claim:

         1 . A treadmill comprising:
a base, an endless belt provided in said base, a motor coupled to said endless belt for driving said endless belt, said motor including a spindle extended therefrom, and a fan device secured to said spindle for being driven by said motor, and including a plurality of blades for drawing air through said motor to dissipate a heat generated by said motor.

2 . The treadmill according to claim 1 , wherein said fan device includes a peripheral wall, and said blades are extended from said peripheral wall of said fan device.

3 . The treadmill according to claim 1 , wherein said fan device includes a plurality of casings provided therein and each having a cavity formed therein, and said blades are extended from said casings.

4 . The treadmill according to claim 1 further comprising a wheel secured to said spindle, said fan device being secured to said wheel and including an opening formed therein for receiving said spindle.

5 . The treadmill according to claim 4 , wherein said wheel includes a peripheral depression formed therein, said blades of said fan device are extended inward of said peripheral depression of said wheel.

6 . The treadmill according to claim 4 , wherein said motor includes a first end having a hood provided thereon and partially engaged into said opening of said fan device, said hood includes a plurality of holes formed therein for air circulating purposes.
