Character information copying system, recording apparatus and recording method

Abstract

The invention provides a character information copying system, a recording apparatus, and a recording method in which characters can be easily copied onto a recording medium by copying and pasting character information such as titles of music pieces, singer names, and the like opened on a computer communication network and by transmitting it to the recording apparatus via an interface.

What is claimed is:  
     
         1 . A system for recording text data of title information received from a remote server, comprising: 
 a terminal apparatus for receiving the text data from the remote server;    a recording apparatus for recording the received text data; and    a semiconductor memory for storing the text data corresponding to title information of a program to be played from a memory different from said semiconductor memory.    
     
     
         2 . The system as in  claim 1 , wherein said recording apparatus comprises an optical disc which stores music, said optical disc being said memory different from said semiconductor memory.  
     
     
         3 . The system as in  claim 1 , wherein said recording apparatus comprises a CD changer.  
     
     
         4 . A system having a terminal apparatus for receiving text data corresponding to title information from a remote server, a recording apparatus receiving and recording the text data from the terminal apparatus, the system comprising: 
 a semiconductor memory built in said recording apparatus for storing the text data of title information of a program to be played from a memory different from said semiconductor memory;    said terminal apparatus comprises: 
 receiving means for receiving said text data from a remote server storing text data of a predetermined program;  
 display means for displaying the text data received by said receiving means;  
 selected means for selecting arbitrary text data from the displayed text data; and  
 transfer means for transferring the selected arbitrary text data to the recording apparatus;  
   and wherein said recording apparatus comprises: 
 receiving means for receiving the arbitrary text data transmitted from said transfer means of said terminal apparatus; and  
 recording means for recording the arbitrary text data received by said receiving means onto said semiconductor memory so as to correspond to a predetermined program recorded in a memory different from said semiconductor memory.  
   
     
     
         5 . The system as in  claim 1 , wherein said recording apparatus comprises an optical disc which stores music, said optical disc being said memory different from said semiconductor memory.  
     
     
         6 . The system as in  claim 1 , wherein said recording apparatus comprises a CD changer.  
     
     
         7 . A method for recording text data of title information received from a remote server, the method comprising: 
 receiving the text data from the remote server; and    storing the text data corresponding to title information of a program in a semiconductor memory, the program to be played from a memory different from said semiconductor memory.    
     
     
         8 . A system for recording text data of title information received from a remote server, the system comprising: 
 means for receiving the text data from the remote server; and    means for storing the text data corresponding to title information of a program in a semiconductor memory, the program to be played from a memory different from said semiconductor memory.
