Oscillating arm fixture for lapping machines

Abstract

An electro-mechanical arm for moving a part across the surface table of a rotary lapping machine to overcome to deficiencies inherent in normal lapping procedures.

I claim:  
     
         1 . A device for moving a part over the table surface of a rotary lapping machine comprising: 
 An actuated piston unit which is driven by a DC motor controller;    A motion control arm for moving the part;    A power transfer arm for imparting the motion from the piston to the motion control arm;    A power shaft used to impart torque from the power control arm to the motion control arm;    A stroke control link used to control the amount of movement of the motion control arm;    An adjustable shaft coupler which is used to raise or lower the motion control arm.
