Support device for kneel-down work
Abstract
A support device for kneel-down work comprises two spaced support members each support member comprising an end plate and an extension member including an end securely connected to the end plate. A knee plate comprises an end pivotally connected to the other end of the extension member of each support member. A seat frame comprises a seat and two parallel connecting plates respectively extending from a side of the seat. Each connecting plate is pivotally connected to an associated one of the end plates. The knee plate and the end plates are in contact with the ground and the seat provides a support for a hip of the user when a leg of the user wearing the support device kneels down.
Claims
exact text as granted — not AI-modifiedWhat is claimed is:
1 . A support device for kneel-down work, comprising:
two spaced support members having a distance greater than a width of a leg of a user, each said support member comprising an end plate and an extension member including a first end securely connected to the end plate and a second end; a knee plate comprising an end pivotally connected to the second end of the extension member of each said support member; a first strap having two ends attached to the knee plate, the first strap being adapted to be mounted around an upper portion of a shank of the user; a seat frame comprising a seat and two parallel connecting plates respectively extending from a side of the seat, each said connecting plate being pivotally connected to an associated one of the end plates; and a second strap having two ends attached to the seat, the second strap being adapted to be mounted around a lower portion of the shank of the user;
wherein the knee plate and the end plates are in contact with the ground and the seat provides a support for a hip of the user when a leg of the user wearing the support device kneels down.
2 . The support device for kneel-down work as claimed in claim 1 , wherein the seat comprises two pegs respectively on two sides thereof, the second strap comprising two ends each having an engaging hole for releasably engaging with an associated one of the pegs of the seat.
3 . The support device for kneel-down work as claimed in claim 2 , wherein the second strap is adjustable in a length thereof.
4 . The support device for kneel-down work as claimed in claim 2 , wherein the seat comprises a pad mounted another side thereof.
5 . The support device for kneel-down work as claimed in claim 1 , wherein the knee plate comprises two pegs respectively on two sides thereof, the first strap comprising two ends each having an engaging hole for releasably engaging with an associated one of the pegs of the knee plate.
6 . The support device for kneel-down work as claimed in claim 5 , wherein the first strap is adjustable in a length thereof.
7 . The support device for kneel-down work as claimed in claim 5 , wherein the knee plate comprises a pad mounted thereon.
8 . The support device for kneel-down work as claimed in claim 1 , wherein each said end plate comprises a plurality of spaced first engaging holes, each said connecting plate of the seat frame comprising a plurality of spaced second engaging holes, further comprising at least one fastener extending through at least one of the spaced first engaging holes and at least one of the spaced second engaging holes, thereby allowing each said connecting plate to be adjustably engaged with the associated one of the end plates.Join the waitlist — get patent alerts
