Abstract

The present invention provides a golf ball, which is superior in rebound characteristics, scuff resistance, yellowing resistance and productivity, and has good moldability. The present invention relates to a golf ball comprising a core and a cover formed on the core, wherein the cover comprises a mixture of polyurethane-based thermoplastic elastomer formed by using cycloaliphatic diisocyanate and polyurethane-based thermoplastic elastomer formed by using aliphatic diisocyanate as a base resin.

What is claimed is:  
     
         1 . A golf ball comprising a core and a cover formed on the core, wherein the cover comprises a mixture of polyurethane-based thermoplastic elastomer formed by using cycloaliphatic diisocyanate and polyurethane-based thermoplastic elastomer formed by using aliphatic diisocyanate as a base resin.  
     
     
         2 . A golf ball comprising a core and a cover formed on the core, wherein the cover comprises polyurethane-based thermoplastic elastomer formed by using polyol having crystallizability and cycloaliphatic diisocyanate as a base resin.  
     
     
         3 . The golf ball according to  claim 1  or  claim 2 , wherein the cycloaliphatic diisocyanate is at least one selected from the group consisting of 4,4′-dicyclohexylmethane diisocyanate, 1,3-bis(isocyanatomethyl)cyclohexane, isophorone diisocyanate, and trans-1,4-cyclohexane diisocyanate.  
     
     
         4 . The golf ball according to  claim 1 , wherein the aliphatic diisocyanate is at least one selected from the group consisting of 1,6-hexamethylene diisocyanate (HDI), 2,2,4-(2,2,4)-trimethylene hexamethylene diisocyanate (TMDI) and lysine diisocyanate (LDI).  
     
     
         5 . The golf ball according to  claim 1 , wherein the cycloaliphatic diisocyanate is 4,4′-dicyclohexylmethane diisocyanate and the aliphatic diisocyanate is 1,6-hexamethylene diisocyanate.  
     
     
         6 . The golf ball according to  claim 1 , wherein a blend ratio (a/b) of the polyurethane-based thermoplastic elastomer formed by using cycloaliphatic diisocyanate (a) to the polyurethane-based thermoplastic elastomer formed by using aliphatic diisocyanate (b) in the mixture is 95/5 to 50/50.  
     
     
         7 . The golf ball according to  claim 2 , wherein the polyol having crystallizability in the polyurethane-based thermoplastic elastomer has a heat of fusion of crystalline of 0.1 to 0.7 mJ/° C.-mg, measured by DSC.  
     
     
         8 . The golf ball according to  claim 2 , wherein the polyol having crystallizability is at least one selected from the group consisting of polycaprolactone diol (PCL), polycarbonate diol (PC), polyethylene adipate (PEA), polybutylene adipate (PBA) and polyhexamethylene adipate (PHMA).  
     
     
         9 . The golf ball according to  claim 1  or  claim 2 , wherein the cover has a Shore D hardness of 35 to 55 and a thickness of 0.3 to 2.0 mm.
