Bottle carrier device

Abstract

A bottle carrier device is disclosed which enables the attachment of a plastic beverage bottle or the like to the clothing of a person, or to any other suitable support for transportation and portability of the bottle of liquid. The bottle carrier device generally comprises a bottle-engaging member positionable about the neck of a bottle, a hook member for detachably attaching the bottle carrier device to a support, such as a belt loop, and a joining member which joins together the hook member to the bottle-engaging member. The joining member may further be structured with an intermediate connector to provide selective detachable attachment of the hook member to the bottle-engaging member.

What is claimed is:  
     
         1 . A bottle carrier device, comprising: 
 a hook member for attachment to a support;    a bottle-engaging member for attachment about the neck of a bottle; and    a joining member interconnecting said hook member to said bottle-engaging member.    
     
     
         2 . The bottle carrier device of  claim 1  wherein said hook member is structured to provide single-handed detachable attachment of said hook member to a support.  
     
     
         3 . The bottle carrier device of  claim 2  wherein said hook member is a carabiner.  
     
     
         4 . The bottle carrier device of  claim 1  wherein said bottle-engaging member is an elastomeric ring having an internal diameter sized to be received about the neck of a bottle.  
     
     
         5 . The bottle carrier device of  claim 4  wherein said elastomeric ring is an O-ring having a low modulus of elasticity.  
     
     
         6 . The bottle carrier device of  claim 1  wherein said joining member further comprises an intermediate connector providing detachable attachment of said bottle-engaging member to said hook member.  
     
     
         7 . The bottle carrier device of  claim 6  wherein said intermediate connector is structured to provide single-handed detachable attachment of said bottle-engaging member to and from said hook member.  
     
     
         8 . A bottle carrier device, comprising: 
 an elastomeric bottle-engaging member;    a closable-loop hook member for attaching to a support; and    a joining member attaching said elastomeric bottle-engaging member to said hook member.    
     
     
         9 . The bottle carrier device of  claim 8  wherein said elastomeric bottle-engaging member is an O-ring having a low modulus of elasticity and being sized to be positionable about the neck of a bottle.  
     
     
         10 . The bottle carrier device of  claim 9  wherein said closable-loop hook member is a carabiner.  
     
     
         11 . The bottle carrier device of  claim 8  wherein said joining member is a loop of material which encircles a portion of said hook member and which also encircles a portion of said elastomeric bottle-engaging member.  
     
     
         12 . The bottle carrier device of  claim 8  wherein said joining member further comprises an intermediate connector structured to provide selective, detachable attachment of said elastomeric bottle-engaging member to said hook member.  
     
     
         13 . A bottle carrier device, comprising: 
 a bottle-engaging member sized to attach to the neck of a bottle;    a hook member structured for detachable attachment to a support;    a joining member secured to said bottle-engaging member and secured to said hook member to join the two together; and    an intermediate connector positioned with respect to said joining member to provide selective detachable attachment of said bottle-engaging member to said hook member.
