Slide hammer puller for car-body sheet metals of a vehicle
Abstract
A slide hammer puller for car-body sheet metals of a vehicle in the invention has a driven rod, a slide hammer and at least one pulling member. A shank body of the driven rod with a stop portion disposed at a proper position of the shank body corresponding to a hammer face of the slide hammer is extended through the slide hammer and combined with the pulling member at one end of the shank body. Place the pulling member on a dent of a car-body sheet metal and fill hot-melt adhesives between the pulling member and the dent. After the adhesives get dry, strike the slide hammer toward the stop portion to make the driven rod have backward pulling movements to force the pulling member to pull the dent outwardly to its normal smooth position, thereby the dent can be repaired without disassembling interior parts and accessories of a vehicle.
Claims
exact text as granted — not AI-modifiedWhat is claimed is:
1 . A slide hammer puller for car-body sheet metals of a vehicle comprising:
a driven rod provided with a shank body in long-rod shape, a stop portion disposed at a proper position of said shank body and a combining end disposed at one end of said shank body; a slide hammer capable of being extended through by said driven rod, a passage disposed through a center of said slide hammer, a hammer face disposed at one end of said slide hammer and corresponding to said stop portion of said driven rod; at least one pulling member capable of being combined to one end of said driven rod, each said pulling member provided with a combined portion for corresponding to said combining end of said driven rod; and, whereby a combination of said components described above is capable of outwardly pulling a dent of a car-body sheet metal by placing one end of said pulling member on said dent of said car-body sheet metal and filling hot-melt adhesives between said pulling member and said dent of said car-body sheet metal so that after said hot-melt adhesives get dry, a user can strike said slide hammer toward said stop portion of said driven rod to make said driven rod have backward pulling movements to force said pulling member to pull said dent of said car-body sheet metal outwardly to its normal smooth position, and thus said dent of said car-body sheet metal can be repaired without need of disassembling interior parts and accessories of a vehicle.
2 . The slide hammer puller for car-body sheet metals of a vehicle as claimed in claim 1 , wherein a handle is disposed at one end of said driven rod and said stop portion is capable of being disposed at an end face of an inner side of said handle.
3 . The slide hammer puller for car-body sheet metals of a vehicle as claimed in claim 1 , wherein said combining end of said driven rod is capable of being formed in a threaded-rod shape and said combined portion of each of said pulling members is provided with internal threads for corresponding to said combining end of said driven rod.
4 . The slide hammer puller for car-body sheet metals of a vehicle as claimed in claim 1 , wherein a concave surface is inwardly formed at one end surface of each of said pulling members opposite to said combined portion of said pulling member; said pulling members are capable of being provided with various sizes for the convenience of being fitted with different areas of dents of car-body sheet metals required for pulling.Join the waitlist — get patent alerts
