Purse insert having interchangeable accessory holders and method therefor

Abstract

An adjustable size purse insert for easily transferring items from one purse to another. The adjustable purse insert has a plurality of accessory holders for holding and storing different items within a purse. A coupling device is coupled to a body section of each of the plurality of accessory holders. The coupling device allows for removably coupling successive accessory holders together. This allows the purse insert to be adjustable in size and to allow individuals to combine different accessory holders together to form different sizes and configurations of purse inserts.

What is claimed is:  
     
         1 . An adjustable size purse insert for easily transferring items from one purse to another comprising, in combination, a plurality of accessory holders for holding and storing items wherein each accessory holder is removably coupled to a successive accessory holder.  
     
     
         2 . An adjustable size purse insert in accordance with  claim 1  further comprising coupling devices coupled to a body section of each of the plurality of accessory holders for removably coupling successive accessory holders together.  
     
     
         3 . An adjustable size purse insert in accordance with  claim 1  wherein the coupling devices comprise: 
 a piece of hook material coupled to a first surface of the accessory holder; and  
 a piece of loop material coupled to a second surface of the accessory holder.  
 
     
     
         4 . An adjustable size purse insert in accordance with  claim 1  wherein the coupling devices comprise: 
 a spring clip coupled to a first surface of the accessory holder; and  
 a loop coupled to a second surface of the accessory holders.  
 
     
     
         5 . An adjustable size purse insert in accordance with  claim 1  wherein each of the plurality of accessory holders is designed to hold and store different items.  
     
     
         6 . An adjustable size purse insert in accordance with  claim 1  wherein at least one of the plurality of accessory holders is used to hold a pair of eyeglasses.  
     
     
         7 . An adjustable size purse insert in accordance with  claim 1  wherein at least one of the plurality of accessory holders is used to hold a wallet.  
     
     
         8 . An adjustable size purse insert in accordance with  claim 1  wherein at least one of the plurality of accessory holders is used to hold credit cards and identification cards.  
     
     
         9 . An adjustable size purse insert in accordance with  claim 1  wherein at least one of the plurality of accessory holders is used to hold an organizer book.  
     
     
         10 . An adjustable size purse insert in accordance with  claim 1  wherein at least one of the plurality of accessory holders is used to hold an electronic personal digital assistant.  
     
     
         11 . An adjustable size purse insert in accordance with  claim 1  wherein at least one of the plurality of accessory holders is used to hold a cellular phone.  
     
     
         12 . An adjustable size purse insert in accordance with  claim 1  wherein at least one of the plurality of accessory holders is used to hold a pager.  
     
     
         13 . An adjustable size purse insert in accordance with  claim 1  wherein at least one of the plurality of accessory holders is used to hold keys.  
     
     
         14 . An adjustable size purse insert in accordance with  claim 1  wherein at least one of the plurality of accessory holders is used to hold a checkbook.  
     
     
         15 . An adjustable size purse insert in accordance with  claim 1  wherein at least one of the plurality of accessory holders is used to hold cosmetics.  
     
     
         16 . An adjustable size purse insert for easily transferring items from one purse to another comprising, in combination: 
 a plurality of accessory holders for holding and storing items; and    coupling devices coupled to a body section of each of the plurality of accessory holders for removably coupling successive accessory holders together.    
     
     
         17 . An adjustable size purse insert in accordance with  claim 16  wherein the coupling devices comprise: 
 a piece of hook material coupled to a first surface of the accessory holder; and  
 a piece of loop material coupled to a second surface of the accessory holder.  
 
     
     
         18 . An adjustable size purse insert in accordance with  claim 16  wherein the coupling devices comprise: 
 a spring clip coupled to a first surface of the accessory holder; and  
 a loop coupled to a second surface of the accessory holders.
