Device and method for attaching hair

Abstract

A hair weave attachment device has a plurality of pin-like protrusions extending from a flexible band. The flexible band provides a method for attaching the hair weave attachment device to a commercial hair weave. The pin-like protrusions provide a method for attaching the hair weave attachment device, having the hair weave attached thereto, to a wearer. The resulting hair weave can be easily attached and removed from the wearer. This provides a quick and easy method for changing hair styles without requiring any messy glue removers or the cutting of threads, which are required to remove hair weaves attached in the conventional manner.

What is claimed is:  
     
         1 . A hair weave attachment device for attaching a hair weave comprising: 
 a flexible band;    a plurality of protrusions extending in substantially the same direction from said flexible band;    said flexible band providing an attachment location for attaching said hair weave to said hair weave attachment device; and    said plurality of protrusions providing means for attaching said hair weave, having said hair weave attachment device attached thereto, to a wearer.    
     
     
         2 . The hair weave attachment device according to  claim 1 , wherein said flexible band is a fabric band.  
     
     
         3 . The hair weave attachment device according to  claim 2 , wherein said plurality of protrusions are sewn into said fabric band to form said hair weave attachment device.  
     
     
         4 . The hair weave attachment device according to  claim 1 , wherein said plurality of protrusions are a plurality of elastically deformable pins.  
     
     
         5 . The hair weave attachment device according to  claim 1 , wherein said flexible band and said plurality of protrusions are formed integrally of a flexible material.  
     
     
         6 . A method of attaching a hair weave to a wearer comprising: 
 providing a hair weave attachment device having a flexible band and a plurality of protrusions extending in substantially the same direction from said flexible band;    attaching said hair weave to said flexible band of said hair weave attachment device; and    attaching said hair weave, having said hair weave attachment device attached thereto, to a wearer, by placing said plurality of protrusions into hair of said wearer.    
     
     
         7 . The method of attaching a hair weave according to  claim 6 , wherein said hair weave is attached to said flexible band by sewing said flexible band onto a weave band of said hair weave.
