Hair dryer having blades that are located at the mediate position of the hair dryer

Abstract

A hair dryer includes a housing having an air inlet, an air outlet, a motor, an impeller having a plurality of blades, and a heating device. A motor fixing seat is mounted in the housing for securing the motor. The motor and the motor fixing seat are fixed in a distal end of an inner wall of the housing and located adjacent to the air inlet, and the impeller is located between the motor and the heating device. Thus, the motor only need to produce a much smaller pressure of air flow, so that the pressure of the air flow exerted on the impeller is very small, thereby producing a much smaller shear stress on the impeller, and thereby causing smaller noise.

What is claimed is:  
     
         1 . A hair dryer, comprising: 
 a housing having an air inlet, an air outlet, and a motor, an impeller having a plurality of blades and a heating device mounted between the air inlet and the air outlet, a motor fixing seat mounted in the housing for securing the motor in the housing, and a plurality of air guide vanes mounted in the motor fixing seat, wherein: 
 the motor and the motor fixing seat are fixed in a distal end of an inner wall of the housing and located adjacent to the air inlet, and the impeller is located between the motor and the heating device.  
   
     
     
         2 . The hair dryer in accordance with  claim 1 , further comprising an arcuate guide flange mounted on the motor fixing seat and directed toward the air inlet.  
     
     
         3 . The hair dryer in accordance with  claim 1 , wherein the impeller includes three blades arranged in an equally divided manner each having a large area.
