Abstract
In a treating apparatus, a forceps body as a treating device is connected to a generator as a control device. The forceps body mainly includes a pair of handle portions, which are used for manipulation by being held by an operator, a pair of jaws provided between the handle portion and the pair of jaws, which are used to coagulate/resect by grasping living-body tissue to be treated and a pair of scissors component members. A heating member, which is a heat generating source as a heat generating portion for applying heat energy to living-body tissue, is embedded at least one of the jaws. A pair of electrode portions, which is a treating energy generator, is provided to the pair of jaws. By supplying bipolar electric surgical knife current between the pair of electrode portions, high frequency current as treating energy is applied to the grasped living-body tissue.

1 . A treating apparatus for treating living-body tissue, comprising:
a treating device having a heat generating portion for generating heat to be applied to the living-body tissue and a treating energy generator for generating treating energy different from the heat, the treating device contacting with the living-body tissue and applying the heat generated by the heat generating portion and the treating energy generated by the treating energy generator to the living-body tissue; and a control device for controlling the heat generating portion or the treating energy generator of the treating device.
2 . The treating apparatus according to claim 1 ,
wherein the treating device has a pair of jaws openably supported so as to grasp the living-body tissue; and wherein the treating portion has the heat generating portion or the treating energy generator in at least one of the pair of jaws.
3 . The treating apparatus according to claim 1 , wherein the treating device has a probe to conduct the treating energy generated by the treating energy generator to the living-body tissue and a grasping member, which is openably supported to grasp the living-body tissue by sandwiching with a distal end portion of the probe; and
wherein the treating portion has the heat generating portion at the distal end of the probe.
4 . The treating apparatus according to claim 1 ,
wherein the treating device has an inserting portion for conducting the treating energy generated by the treating energy generator to the living-body tissue; and wherein the treating portion has the heat generating portion at a distal end of the inserting portion.
5 . The treating apparatus according to claim 1 ,
wherein the treating energy generator is a high frequency electrode, which can apply high frequency current as the treating energy to the living-body tissue.
6 . The treating apparatus according to claim 1 ,
wherein the treating energy generator is an ultrasound vibrator, which can apply ultrasound vibration as the treating energy to the living-body tissue.
7 . The treating apparatus according to claim 1 ,
wherein the heat generating portion is a resistor provided on a surface of the treating portion.
8 . The treating apparatus according to claim 1 ,
wherein the heat generating portion is a cartridge heater or a ceramic heater.
9 . The treating apparatus according to claim 1 ,
wherein the treating portion has a temperature sensor; and wherein, based on temperature information detected by the temperature sensor, the control device controls the treating energy generator to conduct the treating energy to the treating portion when a temperature of the treating portion does not reach to a set temperature by using the heat from the heat generating portion within a predetermined period of time.
10 . The treating apparatus according to claim 3 ,
wherein the probe is inserted through a sheath and is projected from a distal end of the sheath; and wherein the grasping member is mounted pivotally at the distal end of the sheath and grasps the living-body tissue by sandwiching with a distal end portion of the probe projected from the distal end of the sheath.
11 . The treating apparatus according to claim 4 ,
wherein the inserting portion includes an external tube, which can be attached to a treating device body removably, and an internal tube, which is rotatable within the external tube; wherein the treating device body has a motor, which rotates the internal tube freely rotatably as the treating energy generator; and wherein the internal tube is rotated in engaged with the motor to resect the living-body tissue from an opening portion formed in the external tube.
12 . The treating apparatus according to claim 7 , wherein the resistor is a thin film resistor or a thick film resistor.
13 . The treating apparatus according to claim 11 ,
wherein the heat generating portion is provided around the opening portion of the external tube.
14 . The treating apparatus according to claim 11 ,
wherein the heat generating portion is provided in a distal end side of the opening portion of the external tube.
15 . The treating apparatus according to claim 11 ,
wherein an opening portion is formed in the internal tube; and wherein the heat generating portion is provided around the opening of the internal tube.
16 . The treating apparatus according to claim 11 ,
wherein a ring-shaped gap is formed as a water-feeding duct for perfusion fluid, between an internal surface of the external tube and an external surface of the internal tube.
17 . A treating device for treating living-body tissue, comprising:
a heat generating portion for generating heat to be applied to the living-body tissue; a high frequency electrode for generating high frequency current to be applied to the living-body tissue; a treating portion for contacting the living-body tissue and applying, to the living-body tissue, the heat generated by the heat generating portion and the high frequency current generated by the high frequency electrode; and a pair of jaws having the treating portion and including the heat generating portion or the high frequency electrode in at least one of the jaws and being supported openably to grasp the living-body tissue.
18 . A treating device for treating living-body tissue, comprising:
a heat generating portion for generating heat to be applied to the living-body tissue; an ultrasound vibrator for generating ultrasound vibration to be applied to the living-body tissue; a treating portion for contacting the living-body tissue and applying, to the living-body tissue, the heat generated by the heat generating portion and the ultrasound vibration generated by the ultrasound vibrator; and a probe having the treating portion and conducting the heat generated by the heat generating portion and the ultrasound vibration generated by the ultrasound vibrator.
19 . The treating device according to claim 18 ,
wherein the treatment device has a grasp member supported openably so as to grasp the living-body tissues by sandwiching with a distal end portion of the probe and has the heat generating portion at a distal end of the probe.
20 . The treating apparatus according to claim 19 ,
wherein the probe is inserted through a sheath and is projected from a distal end of the sheath; and wherein the grasp member is attached rotatably at the distal end of the sheath and grasps the living-body tissue by sandwiching with the distal end portion of the probe, which is projected from the distal end of the sheath.Join the waitlist — get patent alerts
