Abstract
The present invention relates to an antimicrobial agent for preventing, ameliorating and treating diseases attributable to Helicobacter pylori, for example peptic ulcer and gastritis, particularly recurring peptic ulcer and recurring gastritis, and provides (1) an antimicrobial agent comprising oxethazaine represented by the following formula as an active ingredient, (2) an antimicrobial agent comprising oxethazaine and a proton pump inhibitor as active ingredients, and (3) an antimicrobial agent comprising oxethazaine and an antibiotic as active ingredients.
Claims
exact text as granted — not AI-modified1 . An antimicrobial agent comprising oxethazaine represented by the following formula:
as an active ingredient.
2 . An antimicrobial composition comprising the oxethazaine as claimed in claim 1 and a proton pump inhibitor as active ingredients.
3 . The composition as claimed in claim 2 , wherein the proton pump inhibitor is at least one selected from the group consisting of rabeprazole (I), 2-[4-(3-methoxypropoxy)-3-methylpyridine-2-yl]methylthio-1H-benzimidazole (II), omeprazole (III), lansoprazole (IV) and pantoprazole (V) represented by the following chemical formulae and pharmacologically acceptable salts thereof.
4 . The composition as claimed in claim 2 , which comprises oxethazaine and rabeprazole (I) or its pharmacologically acceptable salt as active ingredients.
5 . The composition as claimed in claim 2 , which comprises oxethazaine and 2-[4-(2-methoxypropoxy)-3-methylpyridine-2-yl]methylthio-1H-benzimidazole (II) or its pharmacologically acceptable salt as active ingredients.
6 . The composition as claimed in claim 2 , which comprises oxethazaine and omeprazole (III) or its pharmacologically acceptable salt as active ingredients.
7 . The composition as claimed in claim 2 , which comprises oxethazaine and lansoprazole (IV) or its pharmacologically acceptable salt as active ingredients.
8 . The composition as claimed in claim 2 , which comprises oxethazaine and pantoprazole (V) or its pharmacologically acceptable salt as active ingredients.
9 . An antimicrobial composition comprising the oxethazaine as claimed in claim 1 and an antibiotic as active ingredients.
10 . The composition as claimed in claim 9 , in which the antibiotic is at least one selected from the group consisting of ampicillin, amoxicillin, ofloxacin, erythromycin, roxithromycin, clarithromycin, minocycline and metronidazole.
11 . An antimicrobial composition, which comprises the oxethazaine as claimed in claim 1 and a H 2 -receptor antagonist or its pharmacologically acceptable salt as active ingredients.
12 . The composition as claimed in claim 11 , wherein the H 2 -receptor antagonist or its pharmacologically acceptable salt is at least one selected from the group consisting of cimetidine, ranitidine hydrochloride and famotidine.
13 . A method of treating a disease caused by Helicobacter pylori, which comprises the step of administering an effective amount of the oxethazaine as claimed in claim 1 to a patient suffering from the disease.Join the waitlist — get patent alerts
