Abstract
To provide a recording-reproducing apparatus capable of controlling recorded addresses in a highly-accurate minimum recording unit by using an existing time code in order for recording a signal. The present invention realizes the compatibility of the apparatus with the existing time code and controls the recorded addresses by slightly changing a linear time code signal and assigning a time code corresponding to the minimum recording unit.
Claims
exact text as granted — not AI-modified1 . A recording-reproducing apparatus for recording a picture signal in a helical track of a tape-like recording medium and simultaneously recording a time code signal in a linear track of the medium, wherein
said time code having a frame number expressed with a decimal notation is defined so as to assign three bits to the tens digit of said frame number and four bits to the units digit of said frame number in order to express the tens and units digits with a BCD notation, and the time code in which the tens and units digits of the frame number are expressed with the BCD notation in accordance with said definition is recorded every vertical period of said picture signal.
2 . The recording-reproducing apparatus according to claim 1 wherein unnecessary bits of the time code are used for expansive expression of the frame number.
3 . The recording-reproducing apparatus according to claim 2 wherein unnecessary bits of the time code are COLOR FRAME bits and/or PHASE CORRECTION bits.
4 . The recording-reproducing apparatus according to any one of claims 1 to 3 wherein the time code cycle of a time code waveform is 16.67 ms.
5 . A recording-reproducing apparatus for recording a picture signal in a helical track of a tape-like recording medium and simultaneously recording a time code signal in a linear track of the medium, wherein
said time code having a frame number expressed with a decimal notation is defined so as to assign six bits to said frame number in order to express said frame number with a binary notation, and the time code in which the frame number is expressed with the binary notation in accordance with said definition is recorded every vertical period of said picture signal.
6 . The recording-reproducing apparatus according to claim 5 wherein six bits are assigned to the frame number and a frame expression bit is constituted with 1FRAME, 2FRAME, 4FRAME, 8FRAME, 16FRAME, and 32FRAME so as to be able to correspond to 60 frames/sec.
7 . The recording-reproducing apparatus according to either of claims 5 and 6 wherein the time code cycle of a time code waveform is 16.67 ms.
8 . A recording-reproducing apparatus for recording a picture signal in a helical track of a tape-like recording medium and simultaneously recording a time code signal in a linear track of said medium, wherein
said time code having a frame number expressed with a decimal notation is defined so as to use a field decision bit for deciding the field of one frame thereof as a group of two fields of said picture signal, said time code is defined so as to assign two bits to the tens digit of said frame number and four bits to the units digit of said frame number in order to express said tens digit and units digit with a BCD notation, and the time code in which the tens digit and units digit of the frame number are expressed with the BCD notation in accordance with said definition is recorded every vertical period of said picture signal.
9 . The recording-reproducing apparatus according to claim 8 wherein an unnecessary bit of the time code is used for the field decision bit for deciding a field.
10 . The recording-reproducing apparatus according to claim 9 wherein unnecessary bits of the time code are COLOR FRAME bits and/or PHASE CORRECTION bits.
11 . The recording-reproducing apparatus according to either of claims 9 and 10 wherein the time code cycle of a time code waveform is 16.67 ms.Join the waitlist — get patent alerts
