. The method of claim 8 , wherein the compositions further comprises at least one or more agents selected from selected from a group comprising antihistamines, decongestants, antitussives, anticholinergics and expectorants, wherein the at least one or more agents are tannate compounds.
. The method of claim 9 , wherein the composition comprises an antihistamine, decongestant, and an antitussive.
. The method of claim 9 , wherein the antihistamine is dexchlorpheniramine tannate or dexbrompheniramine tannate, the decongestant is pseudoephedrine tannate and the antitussive is dextromethorphane tannate.
. The method of claim 8 , wherein the composition free of racemates comprises dexchlorpheniramine tannate or dexbrompheniramine tannate.
. The method of claim 12 , wherein the composition further comprises pseudoephedrine tannate.
. The method of claim 12 , wherein the composition further comprises guaifenesin tannate.
. The method of claim 8 , wherein the composition is provided in a single administrative dose.
. The method of claim 9 , wherein the composition is provided in a single administrative dose.
