Claims

Abstract

The invention described includes an osteoendoscopic cylinder for tamponading bleeding along a longitudinal canal surface of an osteocentral canal of a femoral neck so as to allow endoscopic visualization of a segment of osteonecrotic bone within a femoral head. The osteoendoscopic cylinder is of a dimension adapted to receive an endoscope therein and includes an inner visual surface and an outer bony contact surface. An orientation mark along the inner visual surface is of a size and dimension to ensure a first visualization thereof with the endoscope. The first visualization is of an effect to allow spatial orientation of the endoscope within the femoral head. A side opening proximally situated thereabout a proximal handle end is of a size and dimension adapted to mount a vacuum apparatus comprising of a transparent tube.

Thus having described the invention, what I desire to claim and secure by Letters Patent is:  
     
         1 . A device to tamponade bleeding within a femoral neck comprising: 
 an osteoendoscopic cylinder having a distal endoscopic end, a proximal handle end, an outer bony contact surface, and an inner visual surface, said osteoendoscopic cylinder is of a size and dimension adapted to receive an endoscope coaxially along said inner visual surface, said endoscope includes a longitudinal material surface, said osteoendoscopic cylinder is further of a size and dimension adapted to establish a bony particle chamber therebetween said inner visual surface and said longitudinal material surface, said outer bony contact surface is of a size and dimension adapted to tamponade bleeding from a longitudinal canal surface of an osteocentral canal within a femoral neck so as to allow endoscopic visualization of a segment of osteonecrotic bone within a femoral head, said outer bony contact surface is further of a size and dimension adapted to substantially establish a hermetic seal at the juncture thereof and the longitudinal canal surface, said inner visual surface includes an orientation mark of a size and shape adapted to ensure a first visualization thereof with said endoscope, the first visualization is of an effect to ensure spatial orientation of said endoscope within the femoral head with respect to superior, inferior, anterior, and posterior bony quadrants thereof.    
     
     
         2 . A device as defined in  claim 1  wherein said osteoendoscopic cylinder further includes a side opening of a size and shape adapted to mount a vacuum apparatus, said vacuum apparatus comprising a transparent tube, said vacuum apparatus induces the osteonecrotic bony fragments to flow from said bony particle chamber and into said transparent tube, said side opening is proximally situated thereabout said proximal handle end.

A device as defined in  claim 1  wherein said osteoendoscopic cylinder further includes a proximal stabilizing support of a size and dimension adapted to prevent the flow of air at the juncture thereof and said longitudinal material surface, said proximal stabilizing support is further of a size and dimension adapted to allow said endoscope to pass distally and proximally within said osteoendoscopic cylinder along said inner visual surface.  
     
     
         4 . A device as defined in  claim 1  wherein said proximal handle end is of a size and shape adapted to mount a handle.  
     
     
         5 . A device for tamponading bleeding within a femoral neck comprising: 
 an osteoendoscopic cylinder having a distal endoscopic end, a proximal handle end, an outer bony contact surface, and an inner visual surface, said osteoendoscopic cylinder is of a size and dimension adapted to receive an endoscope coaxially along said inner visual surface, said endoscope includes a longitudinal material surface, said osteoendoscopic cylinder is further of a size and dimension adapted to establish a bony particle chamber therebetween said inner visual surface and said longitudinal material surface, said outer bony contact surface is of a size and dimension adapted to tamponade bleeding from a longitudinal canal surface of an osteocentral canal within a femoral neck so as to allow endoscopic visualization of a segment of osteonecrotic bone within a femoral head, said outer bony contact surface is further of a size and dimension adapted to substantially establish a hermetic seal at the juncture thereof and the longitudinal canal surface.    
     
     
         6 . A device as define in  claim 5  wherein said inner visual surface includes an orientation mark of a size and shape adapted to ensure a first visualization thereof with said endoscope, the first visualization is of an effect to ensure spatial orientation of said endoscope within the femoral head with respect to superior, inferior, anterior, and posterior bony quadrants thereof.  
     
     
         7 . A device as defined in  claim 5  wherein said osteoendoscopic cylinder further includes a side opening of a size and shape adapted to mount a vacuum apparatus, said vacuum apparatus comprising a transparent tube, said vacuum apparatus induces the osteonecrotic bony fragments to flow from said bony particle chamber and into said transparent tube, said side opening is proximally situated thereabout said proximal handle end.  
     
     
         8 . A device as defined in  claim 5  wherein said osteoendoscopic cylinder further includes a proximal stabilizing support of a size and dimension adapted to prevent the flow of air at the juncture thereof and said longitudinal material surface, said proximal stabilizing support is further of a size and dimension adapted to allow said endoscope to pass distally and proximally within said osteoendoscopic cylinder along said inner visual surface.  
     
     
         9 . A device as defined in  claim 5  wherein said proximal handle end is of a size and shape adapted to mount a handle.  
     
     
         10 . A device for spatially orienting an endoscope within a femoral head comprising: 
 an osteoendoscopic cylinder having a distal endoscopic end, a proximal handle end, an outer bony contact surface, and an inner visual surface, said osteoendoscopic cylinder is of a size and dimension adapted to receive an endoscope coaxially along said inner visual surface, said endoscope includes a longitudinal material surface, said osteoendoscopic cylinder is further of a size and dimension adapted to establish a bony particle chamber therebetween said inner visual surface and said longitudinal material surface, said outer bony contact surface is of a size and dimension adapted to tamponade bleeding from a longitudinal canal surface of an osteocentral canal within a femoral neck so as to allow endoscopic visualization of a segment of osteonecrotic bone within a femoral head, said outer bony contact surface is further of a size and dimension adapted to substantially establish a hermetic seal at the juncture thereof and the longitudinal canal surface, said inner visual surface includes an orientation mark of a size and shape adapted to ensure a first visualization thereof with said endoscope, the first visualization is of an effect to ensure spatial orientation of said endoscope within the femoral head with respect to superior, inferior, anterior, and posterior bony quadrants thereof.    
     
     
         11 . A device as defined in  claim 10  wherein said osteoendoscopic cylinder further includes a side opening of a size and shape adapted to mount a vacuum apparatus, said vacuum apparatus comprising a transparent tube, said vacuum apparatus induces the osteonecrotic bony fragments to flow from said bony particle chamber and into said transparent tube, said side opening is proximally situated thereabout said proximal handle end.

A device as defined in  claim 10  wherein said osteoendoscopic cylinder further includes a proximal stabilizing support of a size and dimension adapted to prevent the flow of air at the juncture thereof and said longitudinal material surface, said proximal stabilizing support is further of a size and dimension adapted to allow said endoscope to pass distally and proximally within said osteoendoscopic cylinder along said inner visual surface.  
     
     
         13 . A device as defined in  claim 10  wherein said proximal handle end is of a size and shape adapted to mount a handle.  
     
     
         14 . A device for allowing endoscopic visualization of a segment of osteonecrotic bone within a femoral comprising: 
 an osteoendoscopic cylinder having a distal endoscopic end, a proximal handle end, an outer bony contact surface, and an inner visual surface, said osteoendoscopic cylinder is of a size and dimension adapted to receive an endoscope coaxially along said inner visual surface, said endoscope includes a longitudinal material surface, said osteoendoscopic cylinder is further of a size and dimension adapted to establish a bony particle chamber therebetween said inner visual surface and said longitudinal material surface for collecting a quantity of osteonecrotic bone fragments, said outer bony contact surface is of a size and dimension adapted to tamponade bleeding from a longitudinal canal surface of an osteocentral canal within a femoral neck so as to allow endoscopic visualization of a segment of osteonecrotic bone within a femoral head, said outer bony contact surface is further of a size and dimension adapted to substantially establish a hermetic seal at the juncture thereof and the longitudinal canal surface, said inner visual surface includes an orientation mark of a size and shape adapted to ensure a first visualization thereof with said endoscope, the first visualization is of an effect to ensure spatial orientation within the femoral head with respect to superior, inferior, anterior, and posterior bony quadrants thereof.    
     
     
         15 . A device as defined in  claim 14  wherein said osteoendoscopic cylinder further includes a side opening of a size and shape adapted to mount a vacuum apparatus, said vacuum apparatus comprising a transparent tube, said vacuum apparatus induces the osteonecrotic bony fragments to flow from said bony particle chamber and into said transparent tube, said side opening is proximally situated thereabout said proximal handle end.  
     
     
         16 . A device as defined in  claim 14  wherein said osteoendoscopic cylinder further includes a proximal stabilizing support of a size and dimension adapted to prevent the flow of air at the juncture thereof and said longitudinal material surface, said proximal stabilizing support is further of a size and dimension adapted to allow said endoscope to pass distally and proximally within said osteoendoscopic cylinder along said inner visual surface.  
     
     
         17 . A device as defined in  claim 14  wherein said proximal handle end is of a size and shape adapted to mount a handle.
