Abstract

A ski pole grip includes a stronger barrel engaged in a hand grip of cork material. A ski pole is engaged into the barrel. An engaging strap has a portion engaged into the barrel, and a shaft is engaged through the barrel and the portion of the engaging strap for securing the engaging strap to the barrel. The engaging strap may thus be secured to the barrel instead of being secured to the hand grip, such that the barrel may sustain the force from the engaging strap applied. The barrel may be engaged into the other hand grip when the cork hand grip has been damaged or worn out.

Claims

I claim:

         1 . A grip assembly comprising:
a hand grip including an orifice formed therein, a barrel engaged in said orifice of said hand grip, and including a chamber formed therein, and including a cavity formed therein, a pole including a first end engaged into said chamber of said barrel, an engaging strap including a portion engaged into said cavity of said barrel, and a shaft engaged through said barrel and extended through said cavity of said barrel, and engaged through said portion of said engaging strap for securing said engaging strap to said barrel.

2 . The grip assembly according to claim 1 , wherein said hand grip is made of cork material.

3 . The grip assembly according to claim 1 , wherein said hand grip includes an opening formed therein and aligned with said cavity of said barrel for receiving said portion of said engaging strap.

4 . The grip assembly according to claim 1 further comprising a cap secured on top of said hand grip for enclosing said barrel in said hand grip.

5 . The grip assembly according to claim 4 , wherein said cap is made of cork material.

6 . The grip assembly according to claim 1 , wherein said barrel includes an aperture formed therein and communicating with said cavity thereof for receiving said shaft.

7 . The grip assembly according to claim 6 , wherein said hand grip includes a through hole formed therein and communicating with said aperture and said cavity of said barrel for receiving said shaft.

8 . The grip assembly according to claim 1 , wherein said hand grip includes a bore formed therein for receiving said pole, said bore of said hand grip includes an inner diameter smaller than that of said orifice of said hand grip for forming an inner peripheral shoulder between said bore and said orifice of said hand grip and for engaging with said barrel.

         9 . A grip assembly comprising:
a hand grip made of cork material, a barrel engaged in said hand grip, and including a cavity formed therein, a pole including a first end engaged into said said hand grip and said barrel, an engaging strap including a portion engaged into said cavity of said barrel, and a shaft engaged through said barrel and extended through said cavity of said barrel, and engaged through said portion of said engaging strap for securing said engaging strap to said barrel.

10 . The grip assembly according to claim 9 , wherein said hand grip includes an orifice formed therein for receiving said barrel, said barrel includes a chamber formed therein for receiving said first end of said pole.

11 . The grip assembly according to claim 9 , wherein said hand grip includes an opening formed therein and aligned with said cavity of said barrel for receiving said portion of said engaging strap.

12 . The grip assembly according to claim 9 further comprising a cap secured on top of said hand grip for enclosing said barrel in said hand grip.

13 . The grip assembly according to claim 12 , wherein said cap is made of cork material.

14 . The grip assembly according to claim 9 , wherein said barrel includes an aperture formed therein and communicating with said cavity thereof for receiving said shaft.

15 . The grip assembly according to claim 14 , wherein said hand grip includes a through hole formed therein and communicating with said aperture and said cavity of said barrel for receiving said shaft.

16 . The grip assembly according to claim 9 , wherein said hand grip includes a bore formed therein for receiving said pole, said bore of said hand grip includes an inner diameter smaller than that of said orifice of said hand grip for forming an inner peripheral shoulder between said bore and said orifice of said hand grip and for engaging with said barrel.
