Abstract

A resistance device for a physical exerciser includes a tubular rotatable seat having an inner cylindrical surface formed with two spiral grooves, an inner tube dimensioned to be slidably fitted into the rotatable seat and having two opposite longitudinal through slots, a slide dimensioned to be slidably fitted into the inner tube and provided at an end with a lug having a notch, the slide being formed with a radial hole, a rear cover engaged with an end of the inner tube, a front cover engaged with an outer end of the rotatable seat; and a pin extending through the longitudinal through slots of the inner tube to engage with the spiral grooves, whereby the resistance device can be easily assembled, operated and adjusted smoothly.

Claims

exact text as granted — not AI-modified
I claim:

1 . A resistance device for a physical exerciser comprising:
a tubular rotatable seat having an inner cylindrical surface formed with two spiral grooves; an inner tube dimensioned to be slidably fitted into said rotatable seat and having two opposite longitudinal through slots; a slide dimensioned to be slidably fitted into said inner tube and provided at an end with a lug having a notch, said slide being formed with a radial hole; a rear cover engaged with an end of said inner tube; a front cover engaged with an outer end of said rotatable seat; and a pin extending through said longitudinal through slots of said inner tube to engage with said spiral grooves.

2 . The resistance device for a physical exerciser as claimed in claim 1 , wherein an end of said rotatable seat is formed with a cavity in which is fitted a spring and a block, and an inner side of said front cover is formed with a plurality of equidistant recesses adapted to engage with said block so as to keep said rotatable seat in place.

3 . The resistance device for a physical exerciser as claimed in claim 1 , wherein an end of said inner tube is formed with a groove and a flange adjacent to said groove for engaging with said rear cover.

4 . The resistance device for a physical exerciser as claimed in claim 1 , wherein a spring is arranged between said slide and said rear cover.
