Spill preventing paper holder for use during hair dye application
Abstract
A spill preventing paper holder for use during hair dye application that straddles the shoulders of the user and is comprised of a main panel and extension members assembled to the lateral ends of the main panel. The main panel has a recess formed into its upper extent that provides for the placement of a cloth towel or a disposable paper towel, a cutaway is formed at the center between the lateral ends of the main panel for posturing around the neck, and an arch-shaped straddle frame is disposed on the bottom end of the main panel for placement on the shoulders of the user. Various types of extension members can be pivotably conjoined at the two sides of the cutaway as required by the particular situation of usage to construct a folding-type, a pull-type, a turning-type, or an alignment-type paper holder, with each type of paper holder remaining foldable to decrease storage space requirements. As such, the present invention effectively achieves convenient storage, reduced space occupancy and, furthermore, floor spillage protection.
Claims
exact text as granted — not AI-modified1 . A spill preventing paper holder for use during hair dye application comprised of a main panel and extension members assembled to the lateral ends of the said main panel, of which:
The said main panel has a recess formed into its upper extent that provides for the placement of a cloth towel or a disposable paper towel, a cutaway is contoured at the center between the lateral ends of the said main panel for posturing around the neck, and an arch-shaped straddle frame is disposed on the bottom end of the said main panel for placement on the shoulders of the user: The said main panel has an extension member pivotably conjoined at each of the two sides of the said cutaway and, furthermore, the said extension members are capable of folding against the said main panel to thereby achieve storage convenience and reduced space occupancy.
2 . As mentioned in claim 1 of the spill preventing paper holder for use during hair dye application of the invention herein, the said cloth towel or paper towel covering the upper extent of the said main panel is shaped like a wide-bordered enclosure and, furthermore, the folding section has an opening, with an adhesive section next to the said opening that is attached to the opposite end to form a sealed arrangement which prevents the leakage of dyeing liquid.
3 . As mentioned in claim 1 of the spill preventing paper holder for use during hair dye application of the invention herein, the said main panel has formed in each of its two sides a lengthy guide slot; each of the said extension members have a slide block projecting upward from their planar surfaces and, furthermore, the height of the said slide blocks is greater than the depth of the said guide slots such that the said slide blocks extend beyond the bottom end of the said main panel; moreover, fastening holes are formed on the said slide blocks for the installation of a washer and screws to the said fastening holes of each said slide block at the upper extent of the said main panel, the said washers serving as retaining components that prevent the dislodging of the said slide blocks and enable the reciprocal movement of the said slide blocks in the said guide slots, thereby providing for a pull-type paper holder.
4 . As mentioned in claim 1 of the spill preventing paper holder for use during hair dye application of the invention herein, the said main panel has an insertion hole formed in each of the two sides of the said cutaway and the said extension members have through-holes, the positions of which correspond to that of the said main panel insertion holes, with a rivet placed into each said insertion hole and said through-hole to pivotably conjoin the said extension members to the bottom surface of the said main panel such that the riveted areas function as support points enabling the outward and inward rotation of the said extension members, thereby providing for a turning-type paper holder.
5 . As mentioned in claim 1 of the spill preventing paper holder for use during hair dye application of the invention herein, the said main panel has a stepped surface extending from the bottom edge of the panel body along each of the two sides of the said cutaway and, furthermore, a plurality of locating tabs are sequentially arrayed across the said stepped surface; of a design that is the reverse of the said main panel, the said extension member has the said cutaway at the center and a stepped surface along the bottom end of its planar body and at the position of alignment by the said extension member with the extension member main panel stepped surface, there are a plurality of attachment holes that are sequentially arrayed to accommodate the aligned engagement of the said locating tabs; as such, this provides for the aligned entry of the said main panel locating tabs into the said extension member attachment holes to affix the said extension member to the said main panel, thereby providing for an alignment-type paper holder.
6 . As mentioned in claim 1 of the spill preventing paper holder for use during hair dye application of the invention herein, the said extension member can be fabricated as a planar structure having a design that is the reverse of the said main panel.
7 . As mentioned in claim 1 of the spill preventing paper holder for use during hair dye application of the invention herein, the present herein can also be fabricated as a two-part paper holder of one-piece injection molded construction such that after injection molding, the said main panel is contiguous with the said extension members, a folding section is formed between the said main panel and the said extension members and, furthermore, the said cutaway is formed in the center and equally divided on both sides of the said folding section; to utilize, it is only necessary to tear apart the two members and position a cloth towel or a paper towel.Join the waitlist — get patent alerts
